Haven't tried it yet. I'm scratching my head with this one. She's one of the few counters to Enchantress, but perhaps there's a new Champ coming next month that she cheeses. In any case, I'll wait and see how she is after the adjustment. I just don't get it. She's one Champ, among many OP Champs.

There has to be a better reason - and assuming it’s a good reason, there needs to be more visibility into why said decision had to be made (especially relative to other confusing balancing decisions).

Kabam you say you respect us and treat us as adults, so please do so - starting with not treating us like kids who can’t delineate between what is inconsistent and subsequently us viewing what you say and/or do as disingenuous at best.

I buy 4 figure NFTs for fun so discretionary income is fine to spend on enjoyment, and You, Kabam, have made me a f2p player out of principle because of how you’ve done things and continue to do things. The way you continue to show it won’t change for the better makes it even easier to not support this project.

At minimum, please spend more time and set more logical and objective thresholds (holistically-centric ones at that), and make decisions quicker before people waste resources that you sold to people - who thought you’d be objective and consistent with “balancing” decisions.

I R4 Spider Woman in both my accounts with that in mind. My top prestige champs of champions like Onslaught and Serpent were safe and now I’m starting to already regret my 2 R4 Nico - who was introduced within a month to counter a $1K champion.
I’m sitting on 2 more R4 resources but it’s hard to trust ranking the premium Titan champions because I’d rather not waste resources twice-over via buying Titans and buying rank up resources.

It’s hard to trust a company whose business practices are not aligned with what most consider to be fair for consumers - oh, and don’t get me started on how you went about the Zola compensation, as it’s violating consumer practices and at minimum disingenuously shady.

Was excited to pull her from a Titan and immediately ranked her up and now this? I would not of ranked her or been happy with pulling her if this ridiculous nerf was announced before. Really needing the rank down tickets cause wasted resources on a champ not worth my time now

I think it's a weird ability (or rather, a weird placement for the ability) to start with. I will absolutely not miss her being able to ignore 30% of everything I try to do during significant portions of the fight. I think removing it from that sense is a good thing. As savage as some other defenders are, they are at least predictably so. You know what you're getting yourself into and can prepare accordingly. Spider-Woman had a tendency to just mess things up for you at - it seemed - random. I absolutely loathed that.

However, what I mean when I say that the ability is placed weirdly is that you can't really rely on it offensively since you can't trigger it manually. It's just there, or not there, regardless of your own actions. If you want to utilize it, you have to play around that timer rather than playing with that timer. Ensnare is a super useful debuff that I use a ton with Okoye, for example, but there I can decide when to apply it so that I always have it when I need to. That's not the case for Spider-Woman's Ensnare.

All of that said, I do wish they could have done something else other than just simply removing it. Having it trigger on, say, the SP1 or a heavy attack would make it more predictably accessible on attack while removing the general unpredictability on defense. I think that would have been a better solution than just removing it altogether.

Classic Kabam move. Heaven forbid we get through a single week without them letting 💩 hit the fan. Serpent? Totally fine. Enchantress? Perfectly balanced. But Spider-Woman? Oh sure, let’s gut her with a defensive nerf that also screws her offense.

Because why bother with a simple tweak - like dialing down her ensnare % - when you can nuke it out of existence? Naturally, Kabam can’t stand the thought of players actually enjoying themselves! 🤦‍♂️

Kabam just continually missing the mark! Nerf above avg champs to avg, Buff below avg champs to avg still, but leave trash trash, and leave OP champs OP... idk what idiot they're listening to but they need to be let go asap!

They are lying. She's was a good defender but any evade counter easily beat her. This takes away her ability to fight out of class as well and that's why they nerfed her. She was becoming the best attacker in the game. She could take just about any champ in the game. They should at least be honest.

honestly there are more issues that they should worry about, and a lot worse defenders that they could pay attention…

I’m really starting to wonder who’s making all these terrible decisions this year what the hell happened to the 2023-2024 design team… anyways yeah this change does absolutely nothing on defense and only makes her worse on attack, the usual counters like Cull Bullseye Okoye and Red Guardian still nuke her and anything that doesn’t straight up shut down that evade or have tranquilize either times out or takes a f**k ton of damage. The fumble still puts her way above that 3.5/5 if they truly wanted to lower her defensive potential then that’s what should’ve been removed not the ensnare, now there’s a decent chunk of matchups she can no longer do on attacks because of this bs.

To anyone who pulled Karolina, get ready to see that glancing be nerfed to the ground too, don’t r4 until the announcement is made.

Till this day, there are NO non-mystic champs that can even take down Serpent reliably and in a reasonable amount of time, yet he was fine. But the ONE time Kabam finally decides to release a tolerable champ, they get nerfed to the ground. Absolutely awful game, and this might genuinely be the nail in the coffin for me
