The influence of the Grandmaster continues to twist and grow the Battlerealm, producing new and exciting features. It’s time to introduce, the 5-Star Featured Hero Arena!

Starting with the next round of Arenas on February 15th, there will be a new 5-Star Featured Hero Arena! This Arena will allow you to take newly acquired 6-Star Champions alongside your 4 and 5-Star Champions and fight for 6-Star Shards and a 5-Star Featured Hero!

This Arena will allow you to use your 4-Star, 5-Star, and 6-Star Champions to compete to be one of 150 Summoners that will take home the 5-Star Featured Champion.

Let’s Breakdown the Basics

The 5-Star Featured Hero Arena will run on the same schedule as our other Featured Hero Arenas, and will be available to all Summoners at Level 40, or over! There are no Beginner or Intermediate Brackets for this Arena.

This will be your first chance to use 6-Star Champions in Arenas, so here’s what you need to know:

- 6-Star Champions have a cooldown of 12 hours, or 20 units to refresh
- A Base 6-Star Champion will award around 3x the points of a Base 5-Star Champion

The cost to look for a match in this new Arena will be 500 Gold per matchup.

You can earn Rank Rewards after hitting the 1 million point milestone, and earn yourself some 5-Star and 6-Star Shards!

The Top Summoner for Each Arena will also take home the Arena Champion Title, which is also still available in the 4-Star Featured Hero Arena. The Title is the exact same as the one in the 4-Star Featured Hero Arena, and will stack with those. As a reminder, these are the Titles you can earn for Placing 1st in the Arena:

WARBOUND: Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena once.
DESTROYER: Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena 3 times.
LIVING WEAPON: Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena 5 times.
SUPER SOLDIER: Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena 10 times.
GOD OF WAR : Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena 25 times.
WORLD BREAKER: Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena 50 times.

Dang, Milestone rewards suck!!

I mentioned this before in other threads, but the cost for reviving a 5 or 6 stars in this arena should be compounded.
1st time: 10 units
2nd time: 15 units
3rd time: 25 units
4th time: 40 units.

For the duration of the arena. (These based on a 5 star).

That way the cutoff shouldn't go that high.

well the ones ready to compete for the top rewards are all uncollected already. so it makes sense that the rewards be suitable for them as gmc shards instead of phc.

If there is going to be a 5* featured arena then, shouldn't the featured four star arena be top 10% or at least top 5% to get the featured champ.

Ok besides the milestones being very bad for the new arena and the rank rewards being sub par. Yes we wanted the new 5* arena but with the 5* arena should have included the basic 5* arena. This way most grinders can have a chance to keep up and build a 5* roster just like 4* arena basics and featured arenas. The gold issue is still outta date. Each tier of milestones should be gradually increased with each higher tier of the milestone achieved. As in ranked rewards. Higher the tier better the rewards. Im not saying it should be absurdly high but come on this game has progressed so should milestone rewards.

Im not gonna touch on the phc rewards that speaks for itself. The bc do help reward more gold. In this arena just like questing. Harder content more reward but in all aspects not just certain. When have gold events harder the level more gold correct. Harder milestones to acheive more reward. Evening out the rewards with the time spent playing. In all aspect not just rank rewards. Not a pot luck chance at 15k gold for 10k battle chips. Woohoo said the crowd. Insert sarcastic woohoo. Im not saying your the person in charge reading this but the team that decides these rewards makes your job that much harder and frustrating, correct? Basic arenas are in the future and making things harder but still achievable playing even 4-6 hours a day. Thats a part time job. Like really thats the time of a part time job. Still none accessible to those who dont play 10-12 or more hours a day to even get close to making progress advancing or our rosters with 5* champs.

All in all keeping up with certain rewards, with how long this game has been out for, how much its evolved its time to step up your game literally and figuratively. Keep up with the times and more people will stay playing and complain less. Probably spend more money. Complaints are gonna be there regardless. The only time i wanna say you guys finally delivered on rewards was completion of act 5 and new war rewards. Thats it as of the last year starting from 12.0. I keep grinding and enjoy the rat race some what but its not as fun as it use to be.

It is for everyone that wants to compete. You don't have to be Uncollected to be Competitive.

No plans for a 5-Star Basic just yet, but maybe in the future.

@Kabam Miike Near future I hope? The way the new 5* arena is designed, only the very top top less than 1% of players who have a huge 5* roster and are willing to spend (to unit refresh) will have a chance to get it. it's only the top 150. That's a really, really small number. A basic version would give a much bigger pool of higher tier players a chance to get a 5* champ, even if not the shiny new one. Please consider adding it soon. Adding this arena is almost useless for almost everyone as the top prize is most likely unattainable. Adding a basic version would make a lot of players very happy.

@Kabam Miike many in the game have been really hoping for a 5* Basic Arena. While it is laudable that the company is bringing forward a 5* Featured Arena, it really does not help those players that have most if not all the 4* champs, but are not yet big enough to go for the 5* Featured champ. Those players have nothing to grind for, other than shards, right? There is a savory feeling of actually procuring a champ at the end of a grind - please bring the idea forward for a 5* Basic Arena. Kabam would have many happy players who are at this point in their development, without a worthwhile arena to grind.

We all know how outdated Premium hero crystal is. Now you wanna give it in all milestones for this arena? Obnoxious! Put something else like a 3* crystal in the last few slots.

@Ghostspider231 that’s a good suggestion hopefully the team takes into consideration when they evaluate this new arena.

We should all voice our opinions but we should give the developers time to evolve the game.

I’m hoping they come back to the 1* and 2* Champs arena where we can get 5* shards. 7 Days 1 Million points, 2500 shards. I think 10k was a bit much but if grind it for a month 10k sounds about right.

Nope. There will be no change to the other Arenas. We think that having more Arenas that use the same Champions will allow for a greater spread of participation, potentially making the other Arenas more accessible to all.

This is laughable. The only way to do this is to figure out a way to crack down on the massive— MASSIVE— population op players using bots in arenas. They are doing this not bc they want the champs. They are doing this bc they are using the BC’s and units gained in an arena to sell donations and items to players for a profit. I don’t think you guys understand how prevalent this is right now. It’s all over the top tier alliances. Doing this will just give them another way to get more units and BC’s each arena series now.

The milestone rewards are underwhelming to say the least. The only thing worth looking forward to is some 5* shards in rank rewards. The milestone rewards should have had 4* shards not phc's to at least give incentive to grind towards the milestone rewards. nobody playing this arena needs more 2*'s lol!

So you’re using the top 150 method instead of the top 1-10% ? So basically the only possible way to even achieve that top 150 spot is to spend units on refreshing your champs? Once again catering to your very top players with the biggest rosters. Typical. If I played all 3 days straight I wouldn’t be able to hit those rank rewards without spending units. Why are you doing it like this? Pretty unfair

One other thing. Even with twenty-something 5 stars and who knows how many 4 stars, I would probably only do this arena for the 5 star shards. But given that there are so many milestones, I could probably only do this arena instead. I suppose it will depend on how the gold situation is, as this costs more gold than you can get from the fight (this requires a spreadsheet).

In any case, don't you think this will make people jump off the pool from the basic and featured 4 star arenas and make the cutoff for those a bit higher?

I obviously do not have official numbers, so I am not sure if this could be a thing, I suppose it could go either way, but the 4 star basic arena should be the "easy-to-grind-for" arena for players expanding their 4 star roster.

Also, can anyone run the numbers about the gold cost to make all these milestones (having the gold in the milestones and the possible rewards from arena crystals)?

Sick, another way for the rich to get richer. Top 150 get the champ,...that's absurd. You are aware that people just hire mercs to get these kind of ridiculous tasks complete right?

Really hoping that sometime soon a semi-attainable (top 1-10%) basic 5* arena comes out.

I don't know why everyone assumes all players progress in exactly the same way. Becoming uncollected requires beating the collector. Some players can do that with a small roster of 4* champs. Some players have extreme difficulty doing that with a large roster of 5* champs. But the ability to put up large amounts of points in the arena comes down to size of roster, willingness to spend units on refreshes, and the amount of time you can dedicate to grinding. Those two are not directly linked together.

The milestone rewards too low!
For example basic 4* arena give 135 unit at 1.5M
The PHCs?? No! Maybe better idea 4* shards. 200-200-200 in every mikestones. And if somebody make 12M can collect a fully form 4* Crystal. Its correct! Not PHC..
The first 150?? No!! Minimum 800! Will be extreme high cutoff. Nobody grinding this arena just only “no life” members.

Rank up materials are not the usual rewards for Hero Arenas, so Tier 1 Alphas are out of place here. And as we have already mentioned, this Arena is not one where the focus is the Milestones. This is where you will the most competitive will compete for a chance at the Top Prize a regular Arena has every given. A Featured 5-Star Champion.

What about the rank up gems then? There are rank up gems in other arenas. Why not offer 5* rank up gem crystals that offer a random class rank up gem that takes a 5* from rank 1 to 2?

The Rank Up Gem is available to the Top Player in the other Arenas. I don't think we can really use that as an argument as to why Rank Up Materials should be included in this new Arena.

Doesn't making it the top 150 defeat the purpose of the arena do? Because if you have to use a ton of units to refresh 5* or 6* then what it's the purpose?

Arena should be the non-spender option to get that champ with a big enough roster, but I feel the big spenders will just monopolize the top prizes.

That has never been true. Even now, the featured 4* offers a big advantage to the spenders, and is also limited to 800 so among spenders and non-spenders alike very few will actually win the champ regardless.

In any well designed F2P game, what spending money generally buys you is speed. Patience is rewarded with easier ways to get the same thing the impatient spend money to get. The 4* featured arena requires very large expense in time, resources, and/or roster size, and even so few get the champ. The 4* basic requires far less expense in time and resources, and way more players get the champ. You just have to wait for the champion to appear there.

It is almost certainly the case that Kabam wants to have just the featured 5* arena out first, to reward the big spenders in time and money to have the first shot at these champions. Down the road, maybe six months, maybe a year, a basic arena will likely come out where everyone else will have a somewhat better shot at the same thing. The reward for the spenders is to get there first. The reward for the patient is to get there cheaper.

EDIT: I totally misread your post. My apologies. I will take your feedback to the team regarding the Milestones, but the real reward in this Arena is not the Milestone Rewards, but the Rank rewards, especially the top Rewards.

The major problem with this is that the average Joe has almost no chance at all to compete for the featured champ - except if he's able to spend resources to use in refreshes.
And when the same Joe looks at the milestones he has nothing that makes him want to go through the grind to achieve them. Premium hero crystals? For a grind of 12 million points, we should be able to at the very least get a basic 4 star champion/crystal or whatever.

I don't see this as a problem.
