I am in a small but growing Alliance. When we attempt to begin Alliance War, it displays the words in the thread title line. We cannot win if we cannot play or get any of the rewards from win or loss. It has happened several times.

    Every week matchmaking gets disabled on Sunday night until Wednesday to make sure no one is mid-war during Tuesday night maintenance.

    War goes down every Sunday at 7PM PST. It will not allow you to start a war until it comes back up on Wednesday.

    They probably Matched before it went down Sunday, and are now in Attack Phase.
