6* Morningstar Bugged

I just spent 15k shards on the new feature 6* crystal and pulled her. She is not gaining souls after each fight and the counter remains at 0. I went through an entire path in Uncollected event quest without gaining a single soul.

Did you finish them off with a Spec3 or after a Spec3 get the counter to 100 in order the capture the souls?

No I haven’t done that, but you don’t need to in order to take their soul. It’s supposed to take it after each fight automatically

Maybe you need to read their abilities, mephisto gets souls for killing enemies, morningstar gains souls after sp3...

Apparently each tick from liquid courage is also depleting the counter after sp3? Is that supposed to count as “getting hit”?

Study up on her abilities. In order for Morningstar to get her soul, she needs to use the sp3, and then get her counter to 100. I've also found that you can gain the soul if you finish the opponent with an sp3. As for the counter, it is based on doing damage, not taking hits. So if the opponent is bleeding, each tick counts for her counter, but if Morningstar is poisoned, each tick will decrease her counter. Even blocked hits will count for the counter

I haven’t looked into this myself... But my understanding is that the souls tick down automatically (regardless of you being poisoned or not) and only go up by hitting the opponent... So if you don’t hit the opponent, souls will go down (no matter the poison on you)...

    Can someone confirm?

Every damage instance that you do, makes the souls do up by 5. If you take damage, it goes down by 5. Includes blocked hits and bleed ticks.

Ah, ok. Thanks for clarification... :)
