Shards needed for a 5* Hero

Since the inclusion of 6* Heroes, costing 10k 6* shards to get a 6* Hero, why not cut the amount of shards needed for a 5* hero, to lets say 5k shards for a 5* hero?

Some wishfull thinking here...

    No 5k is just asking too much if they ever lowered it 8k would be a fair amount.

    Same thing happened when 5* came out, everyone saying cut the price. Kabam won't do it, so instead they just increase the ways to earn 5* shards

    No need to decrease the cost

    A lot of people can get a 5* every week it would be too much if they decreased the cost
