Iceman Is not Coldsnap Immune?

I'm not positive this subject has ever been discussed in any manner between Kabam and the community but I am going to bring this up anyway because this makes ZERO sense (pun intended)

I recently was watching #DorkLessons video about Ranking up his Iceman to 5/65 and it got me wondering how powerful Icemans Coldsnap would be on a 5/65 Sig 200 Iceman. Well, it's damn powerful. In fact so powerful, no champions aside from Sabertooth and Infinity War Iron Man have an immunity to this ability (Sorry if I left someone out, that was unintended) And iron man needs his Armor to be active for this immunity to work...
Now what does all this mean and why am I making a post so huge over this...?

As you can see in the screen shot, I'm fighting an Iceman, with my own Iceman...mine is 4 star 5/50 the opponent is 5 star 5/65

Now, Iceman is litteraly made of ICE, and he freezes the air around him inflicting coldsnap for how ever much damage scaling from Sig 1 to Sig 99 or 200 with a 5 Star. It would make logical sense that Iceman would not be able to, for lack of a better term, kill himself...

Now I don't know if this is a bug, or if this is supposed to work this way, but logical sense says that Iceman should be immune to his own abilites being the only champion in the game who can inflict damage by freezing the air around him. Iceman is a Unique Champion and we all can agree he's Tripple Immune already, and thus wouldn't need more immunites...But that's what I would suggest...However, I would like too suggest that his Signiture Ability and Special one and Frost Bite charges be changed too work the very same, BUT, should Iceman be facing HIMSELF in Combat, he suffer 25% of the usual damage, or none if Kabam would give him that immunity. Meaning if Iceman is facing Iceman, and he would typically inflict 1000 damage, he inflict 250 from coldsnap, and if a Frost Bite inflicts 1000 upon expiring, he suffer 250 damage...

I know some people will think this stupid, or dumb, or annoying and needles because it's just one ability or whatever, but I think for the full symmetry of the range of abilities the champions in this game have, Iceman should at least be immune to his own abilities such as Coldsnap and Frostbite. Perhaps when Ice Armor is active he is immune, but currently, Iceman can for from Coldsnap and Frostbite. I would like to see this change.

Yeah he is immune to almost everything except cold snap....it is odd. But then again they have people who use swords but don't cause bleed so it is normal for the game.

It would make logical sense that Iceman would not be able to, for lack of a better term, kill himself...

I don't agree, but let's say I do. Do you want it to be the case that when you bring Iceman to fight an unknown opponent and then it turns out to be Iceman, you just can't kill him at all and you have to force exit the fight and take a loss? I'm guessing not. And the moment you decide to say "well, of course that's bad so let's compromise and make him only sort-of immune to ice powers" you've already left the realm of logic, and entered the realm of doing what you want without regard to what the logic of the situation demands.

Which is what all game designers have to do. Kabam's designers have simply chosen a compromise point different than yours, and in general it isn't easy to convince someone else that your compromise is better than theirs.

The bottom line is that MCOC isn't a Marvel Comics simulator, and even if it was Marvel Comics doesn't really handle powers and abilities in a perfectly consistent way, and even if they did and you want to go by current canon then Iceman doesn't "generate cold" because there's no such thing: the comics now acknowledge that Iceman generates a field that subtracts energy from water molecules which freezes them, but the mechanics of energy drain could still have an impact on Iceman himself. And above all of that the balance and design requirements of the game come first before absolute fidelity with the source material.

    Well I mean
Ghost Rider (the guy who's head is on fire) takes incinerate damage
Morningstar (who is made of metal) can be poisoned
    Electro can be shocked
It's just stuff in the game that you learn to deal with

Ghost Rider, the immortal personification of vengeance in the Marvel Universe that possesses limitless power, takes damage from punches to the head.

    Its all about game "balance".
    Your friend,
    Mephisto
    The bleeding demon

I think they got it right with Mephisto, technically he is not immune to incinerate he gains power from it rather than take damage. It should have been the same with Iceman since he 'literally chills the air around him' sort of like an aura of cold/chill. But Iceman came out first so I guess they learned from him

This was already discussed tons of times as you can see. This is intended. The game don't follows marvel universe or real world rules and laws. Is a fictional universe with rules and laws created for it.
In this game, he simply isn't immune to coldsnap. That can be accepted by someone who understands how the gane works

A character which counters itself is a bad game design.... he cannot be coldsnap immune ...

so...it's a bad game design then. there's plenty of champs out there that counter themselves.

Come on now, a bit of over-exaggeration. Its more like abomination suffering from the same poison that oozes from his skin. Or Mephisto dying in his own aura, this logic is within the MCOC realm not the comic source material. But I definitely understand what you mean

Yea I understand and agree and have seen it discussed many times... We know by logical standards he should be immune to such foolishness. How could he not when he is freezing the air AROUND him...basically meaning that he should do damage to himself too like the way blackbolts sp2 used to do if such was the case but obviously logic has little place here and so no... he is not immune to the tomfoolery.
