Alliance Wars Season 3 Discussion Thread

Summoners! We've just posted a list of Adjustments coming to Alliance Wars Season 3. Check out the post here. You've probably got questions, so ask away!

UPDATE: Summoners,

As many of you have reported, we are currently experiencing some unexpected hardware and software issues. This is causing many of you to experience limited access to the game, as well as sub par performance in game.

While we continue to investigate the issues and identify solutions, we will be delaying the start of Alliance Wars Season 3.

At this time, we do not have a timeline for when we will be launching Season 3, but want to ensure that we have time to work to resolve any interactions that are causing problems on iOS devices before starting the next competitive season.

We apologize for the delay, and appreciate your patience. We will update you all as soon as we have more information on these issues.

Is the new scoring system active now? or will the scoring system and map be put into effect together?

Dude! People ranked up champs against their likings for diversity! You'll have to compensate summoners for that with rank downs. I freaking ranked up she hulk for defence -.-

Buffing nodes and lowering or dropping diversity is fine. But, are you guys also removing some link nodes to allow some alliances skip certain lanes?

I will talk to the team about getting the list of Buff Descriptions for newer nodes that players might be less familiar with, but in the meantime, this is Dismay:

"Whenever the Attacker loses their highest achieved Combo in a fight, they gain a Degeneration Debuff that deals damage every second equal to {1} times the lost Combo."

This is basically the "Don't lose your Combo" Buff.

no, this is the "those buggy evade champs, sometimes ridiculous power gain champs that will catch you, will certainly kill you node". Or "when you don't proc dex and domino hits you, now you degen" node

in my opinion, you could reduse the points diversity gives so to make it count less in the final score. this way it would make people go to more hardcore defence in addition to some diversity for tie breaking.

OR put points in diversity BUT will count ONLY if the alliance score the same score!

for example. both alliance will have the same attack bonuses and the same boss kills. and they get BOTH 145.000 final score. without diversity, both will lose. BUT if diversity counts ONLY in TIE, diversity would be the tie breaker.

Right now, there is no guarantee that Defender Diversity is gone for good. We're going to continue to monitor Wars, and may find that we need to bring it back. The community as a whole said before Defender Diversity was a bad idea and proved it out so many different ways.

@Kabam Miike Do you have any update regarding alliance potions? The lv4 potions just aren't cutting it anymore now that we have R5 5* champions. Especially if the intent is to make 100% map clears less frequent, people can wipe out 0/15 quite easily.

Given the significant change in difficulty that happens between tiers 5 & 6 (challenger vs hard maps), will multipliers be changing as well @Kabam Miike ?

What about all the unnessecary rank ups a lot of alliances have done in recent months. Any rank down tickets for the waste of rescources a lot of us have used?

No, the 2nd half of Lane 8 doesn't have to come down and parts of Lane 2 and 5 are unnecessary as well. Already many alliances were leaving these nodes open anyway. Also there are maps out there for boss killing express to get done with just 7 lanes I believe, allowing 3-4 back-ups for doubling up.

Translation: we don’t want to issue rank down tickets so we’ll just leave open the possibility that diversity may come back so we don’t have to issue any.

I actually love this node because it goes right into the name of this game: don't get hit. If you don't get hit you don't have to worry about the debuff.

Other than that, @Kabam Miike the changes aren't in effect until the start of the season right? In between now and then, diversity is in play?

@Kabam Miike I don't know how much thought you guys put into the game or your answers. When you introduced diversity, you forced players to rank champs to meet the new standard. All of us ranked champs for the sole purpose of maximizing diversity. So we wasted items, ISO, sig stones and money on champs that we may never had ranked in the first place. By now removing diversity, you're basically telling us that everything we did based on your plan is now a waste and you are willing to screw all of us.
You guys seriously need to think about your decisions more and really think about how it effects the player community. The actions you are doing right now are borderline fraud. You are scamming us to spend money in order to meet the forever changing rules. You make rules to get us to invest one way and then 6-12 moths later, you pull a total 180 and make all that investment useless.
I seriously hope you guys wake up soon and see what you are doing. If not, I'm sure there will be plenty of people calling Google, Apple and their Credit Card companies looking for refunds because of the fraudulent activities you are doing.

To be clear, when the community referenced "spreadsheet wars" these were defined when wars had no defender kills, no attacker bonuses, and p.i. Impacted score. Further proof that kabam is completely out of touch with its player base.
