Need some clarification on this

So in war when you place a champ on a node like enhanced critical abilities, does it only affect the duration or does it enhance all aspects of it? For example if i placed widow on there would her cruelty buff do even more damage or does it just last longer. I appreciate any feedback I can get on this thanks.
