Retire Old Champs

With every new update, more and more champs are introduced to the battle realm. This is making it impossible to dupe champs and awaken their abilities. Have you considered retiring some of the older champs that people don’t use or like?

It's partially why opportunities exist to choose from select pools of champions with certain crystals they introduced. It is just not an option with basic crystals. You either play special content to gain special materials to get something like the Evolution, Death, etc. stones, or you go after featured GMCs when the desired champ is pooled in, for the chance at gaining or duping specific ones from a smaller pool.

not everyone has been playing for the same length of time and not everyone has every champion.

I know dupping isn getting harder but to retire old champs well I'd be ok with it as long as they let us keep the ones we already have

    here's a thought
why not make basic 5* with limited list of champs, and rotate that list every week

That i would like to see even more

I've been thinking something similar for a while, but the design of the game is to make it harder to do that with basic so featured content is more appealing by comparison. Here are a few things they could do to spruce it up though:
    1. Full Basic pool every week - 10,000 shards
    2. 1/4 of all champs in a B batch (e.g. 30 of 120), rotating out 1/6 every week (in this case 20), letting a select 10 always have a 2 week stay before rotating out - 12,500 shards
    3. Feature pool of 24 (12 newest champs. 6 random champs, 6 in B batch) - 15,000 shards (with a caveat) if you miss one of the 12 newest you automatically get a shard refund of 2,500 shards, making real costs 15,000 for a feature, 12,500 for a non-feature

They need to go to releasing just one new champ a month while buffing one old one. Reduces the pool growth rate and makes the current one more appealing.

In my fantasy world. Gotta ride some dinosaurs now.

Some of the old champs need to be retired. Especially if kabam has released an updated version OF THE SAME CHAMP! Take iron man as an example. New iron man is awesome while the old one is such garbage he’s not even worth a damn. Retire the old crappy champs that have already been replaced by newer better versions of themselves. Offer summoners decent rewards/compensation for each champ on their roster that’s being retired.
