5* Hero Crystal or Featured 5* Hero Crystal?

I just reached 10,000 5* shards and I'm wondering if I should bother with saving shards to get the featured 5* hero crystal? Is it worth the wait or is the output roughly the same?

I only have 3 5* champions at the moment: Luke Cage (from the 5* crystal), Iron Man Infinity War (from the cinematic 5* crystal), and Psylocke (from the featured, which was easy to save towards thanks to the Gwenpool Goes to the Movies event).

    Most of the time I'd say basic but the featured is better than normal right now so that's what I'm doing. I have 30 5 stars though. (Only about 4 that are useful.)

    Tough call. I think in your situation it would come down to the question of T2A. If you have a bunch of T2A you're sitting on because you have no one you want to rank up to R4, I would go for the featured. You want the best possible champ to take to R4 that will help you run content, and I think the featured currently has better odds of generating that result even factoring its higher cost. But if I did not have T2A to rank up or used them all up already, I would go basic, because the difference between getting a lot of mediocre 5* champs and getting a few great ones is not a big difference if you can't rank to at least R4.

    I only have one T2A and only Luke Cage is at 2/5, although I'm in the process of upgrading Iron Man to that point. Psylocke is at 1/5 and based on what I've seen from posts around here, I'm probably not in a hurry to upgrade her anytime soon.

    Also, I have 49 4*s and they're my main focus at the moment, with Spider-Man (SE), Mephisto, MODOK, Nightcrawler, Hyperion, DOmino, Gwenpool, Archangel, and Vision all at 4/40. I'm only just nearing the point of upgrading any of them to rank 5.

    I'd say 5*, but it depends. Most times, featured will give you lower chance of getting a bad champion, but lower chance of getting a good tier. I'd say take the risk and go 5*. But that's just me.

    Go for basic since you only have 3 5*s. If you had saved the 5k shards the first time instead of getting the featured, right now you'd only need 5k more to get your 5th 5*. At the point where you're only getting your 4th 5*, you should not use extra shards on featured.

    And I only have 7 5 stars!

    Featured is useless. Too much trash like Iron Patriot and Groot in there.

    Lol he said he had 3 5*s. One of them was from the cinematic event. I don’t think he/she even knows why a t2a is.

    Because of 4 featured, to pull 2 Groot, i rlly felt like quiting this game, i just didnt because i m waiting for that Hyperion for a looooong time, got a gem for him

    Not for me, i already got all the shet pulls, but in this featured i had like 6 champs only, the odds of pulling a new one were much higher, and there are lots of god tier champs there

    And about IP, i got him lvl 60 already

    If you are building your roster, just go with basic. Once you have enough champs to cover war, AQ, and events, then go for featured. At least that’s what I did and now I save and open 3 featured at a time.

    I mean either one just go for the champ you want I made the exact same dusscusoin went and bought a Regular and got a 5* civil warrior so I would go for featured
