My Little Symbiote and Boosts

I am wondering if you need to complete certain levels in the event quest in order to use the symbiote-specific boosts with my "little symbiote"? I have bought some but they are greyed out to activate. I have tried to activate in the event quest and in the labs ..He has NOT reached an r5 (if that matters)

    You have to be in the EQ to activate those boosts.

    Ive tried. Prior to establishing team and prior to fighting specifcally with 'Lil Sym. Hes only R3 though. Ive done most Event Quests w/ 1 pass through Master. It'd be helpful to use boosts to 100% it

    Hey there, the Enhancements can be used from within the event quest itself, after the Enhancement has been purchased.
