The Dark Trinities - A worthy contender of the Holy Trinity?

I was looking on YouTube for a good guide to the best AW trio when I stumbled upon a video of Prof Hoff. He presented a new trio that rivalled the Holy Trinity (Ghost Rider – Blade – Stark Spidey). In the comment section, it was dubbed the Dark Trinity. This Dark Trinity consists of Sabretooth, Killmonger and Void. The video explains why in depth but I will just put the relevant info below:

Sadly, the video is already outdated as there are in fact three Dark Trinities are possible. In September, Omega Red was released and changed this. He has synergies with two of the champions of the Dark Trinity: Sabretooth and Void.

- Killmonger and Sabretooth have the No Mercy synergy. Killmonger gains +30% Power Rate when hitting opponents that are suffering from a Debuff. Sabretooth reduces the opponent’s Ability Accuracy by 100% for 0.7 seconds when inflicting a Debuff. The latter is handy in fights when inflicting debuffs punishes you such as inflicting degeneration (Cable, Mordo), debuff purification (Kingpin, Crossbones) or healing (Masochism node). The former is great for getting to Sp2 and those Indestructible charges.
- Void and Killmonger have the Fearless synergy. If Vibranium Armor is active, Killmonger has a 35% chance to Purify a Debuff after a 0.5 second delay and then instantly Regenerate 4% Health per Debuff. Void regenerates 1% Health when inflicting his Intimidating Debuffs. That gives great sustainability.

- Omega Red and Sabretooth have the X-Assassins synergy. Omega Red inflicts Death Spores 30% faster and it takes 30% longer for Death Spores to be removed. Sabretooth gets a 30% chance Basic Claw hits inflict Bleed, dealing 40% of Attack as Direct Damage over 4 seconds. The latter is good together with the Killmonger synergy. The former is great to get the Death Spore going.
- Omega Red and Void have the Deadly Presence synergy. Omega Red’s Death Field deals 10% more damage. Void’s Intimidating Presence debuffs deal 10% more damage. They are both nice for dealing extra damage. I would say this is the least beneficial of the unique synergies as they do not provide real benefits but enhancing the existing abilities. Still, the damage for Void is pretty nice.
As a result, there are four Dark Trinities:
- Omega Red - Sabretooth – Killmonger, most beneficial for Sabretooth.
- Killmonger -Void – Omega Red, most beneficial for Void.
- Sabretooth – Omega Red – Void, most beneficial for Omega Red.
- Void – Kilmonger – Sabretooth, most beneficial for Killmonger.

I see all of these reaching trinity names and it makes me think of wuxia novels, “It’s Skylight Duckwalk Stunt Child Emperor! The power behind the Divine Mortal Legion! Scram for him!”
I think the more formal name is the Holy Trinity as the three members seek to eradicate evil (Blade and GR more than SM). After that, that’s when Sabretooth, Killmonger, and Void became the Unholy Trinity because they’re all evil.
used a R5 5* blade (with mephisto synergy) vs R4 5* abom, he didnt bring trinity...his "r5" blade loss to abom.
the thing is, there is just not enough info on those trinities to utilize in war, and i have R5 omega,

Well, as I said, in the comments section someone else named it the Dark Trinity, with a like of the Prof Hoff himself. Unholy Trinity has much less likes.

So I guess this trinity is so new everyone calls it whatever they want. I still prefer Dark Trinity though.
Sabretooth is definitely a villain. Kabam just didn’t tag him as such so Blade couldn’t counter.
Yeah I concur with that. I guess I meant he isn't a villain in mcoc, just like proxima and CG ...
