  It closes weekly from Sunday after 9pm CST until Wednesday.

  It's how it has been for over a year. Matchmaking goes down on Sunday night at 7PM PST. It starts back on Wednesday.

  Hardly noticeable since by the time your last war ends, if you start it before it goes down on Sunday, you only have a day before starting a new one. It will be available later today if I am not mistaken.

  The only thing bad about the one day break we now get in alliance wars is that with it they eliminated the alliance event for Alliance wars. They used to run a weekly 7 day alliance event when wars were available every day that awarded additional shards for victories.
