How to make 2, 3 and even 4* champs relevant.

I’m sure that for a vast majority of players 2*, 3* & even 4* champs have become irelevant and continuing to receive these champs from cyrstals is more of an annoyance than a reward.
I have a suggestion that would make the lower star champs worthwhile again..... what if we could use a lower star version of a champ to increase the higher star champs signature or to awaken that champ. So as an example I have a 5* unawakened IMIW, I also have a max level, max signature 4* IMIW, I could burn the 4* IMIW to awaken the 5* or if he had been awakened already I could increase his signature by the same amount as duping him. The 4* champ would be removed from my roster but I’d now have a duped 5*.

So the caveats of this method would be that the lower star champ would need max level/max signature, and can only be used on champs you have, so burning a 4* won’t give you a 5*, you need to actually have the 5* already. 2* champs burned for 3*, 3* burned for 4*, 4* burned for 5*.

This function would make lower star champs valuable once more & worth leveling and ranking up and offers like the most recent 4* offer worth getting for a larger piece of the player base.

Kabam has a similar mechanic to what you are talking about in their Transformers game. It is called forging. Not EXACTLY what you are describing, but along the same lines.

Yeah some alliance mates mentioned the transformers game when I told them about this ages ago, so if kabam already has experience with this sort of mechanic, they should be able to implement it without to much hassle. 😁

I feel kabam should now remove the need for gold to rank up 2* 3* n reduce the amount by half for 4* as most ppl would now concentrate on 5* 6* so that ppl does not quit on ranking up 2* 3* permanently .

I would love it if we could have 2* or 3* wars during the off season. No item use. Maybe allow us to challenge a particular alliance. You'd still get loyalty and shards etc. It would be a blast.
