Is AW matchmaking really this broken🤔

Was checking out what the cut off was for Season 8 Plat 3 when I noticed you don’t seem to need decent champs to compete in Platinum.

    How did this ally make Platinum? I am checking out the members and champions available and we are gold tier 1 and would smoke these guys.

    That’s a silly statement. What if that team with r3 won all of their matches? They shouldn’t rise in the rankings and face tougher competition?

    Same problem in master level. Some low PI alliances cannot get matched with high PI alliances even their war rating is close.

    Matchmaking is based on war rating only(I think)
    The alliance's rating doesn't matter, they might have sold some champs? Maybe that caused them to have a low rating?

    Before everyone says what they're saying. Go check the rosters. There is no way that those rosters compete in Platinum wars. Not now, not ever.

    It wouldn't be possible to win all their matches though because the defense would get steamrolled.
