Can anyone shed some light on how i can pull a 5* BP from a featured crystal when he's one of the original 5*'s and should only be available in the 10k by not thinking?

Umm it doesn't work like that man
You can get every champ in the featured crystal
With like a 20% chance at the featured and a 1% at the sub featured

I thought the sub-featured pool was supposed to get smaller and smaller until there was only about 7 champs in there.

It does get smaller each month, but all of the basic champs are in the feature crystal as well. You pay 5k more for an okay chance at the feature and a small chance at a past feature not yet in the basic. Still the majority of pulls will be basic champs.

Feature crystals have everything in... all basics, sub feature (all those not in basic yet) and the feature champ.

Sub feature gets smaller as every month 7 get added to basic pot and only 2 to sub feature pot...

Yeah this is the way I also perceive this to work as well. The sub featured pool is added to the whole pool.

So basically you can get anyone who has ever been in the crystals up to that point, but that also includes the basics as well.

Essentially it gives you access to the ENTIRE 5 star pool instead of only the basics, gives a higher chance at the featured, but does't guarantee anything.

Also...to be clear, just because the number of sub-featured champs decreases doesn't mean there is a decrease in the percent chance to pull a subfeature. The percentage is consistent, the number of champs is the variable.

You have more a of chance to pull a basic chance out of the feature crystal than you do a featured champ.

I don't know anyone that has got a subfeature from a feature crystal yet. Anyone else?

No i don't either, i got the featured and then one from the basic pool.

Yes, we have had players get sub-features and you can find frequent posts on Reddit with great pulls. Somebody pulled stark spidey from a GG crystal yesterday.

So it is possible then, was starting to think it was just a myth.
