"discussion not found" error when trying to create a poll

hi, I have been trying to create a poll all day, 4-5 times, and when I hit "save poll", it takes me to an error page saying "discussion not found". I think it actually created my first poll with a question and no poll options - its deleted now, but its rather frustrating as I need advice.

anyone else having this issue? any known
