**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Toggle Option to make threads Public/Private

It would be nice to have the option to make threads private for purposes of coordinating strategy and tactics for AQ/AW. It doesn't make a lot of sense to strategize where everyone can see it. The option to send invitations regarding the thread to members of your Alliance would be nice as well. (You have the data, after all.) Naturally, moderators would be able to review threads regardless of their privacy status to ensure that the Terms of Service are being upheld.

Wut? Alliances don't do any strategy on the forums.... No one ever has except as discussions. Everyone uses 3rd party apps like Line that are not moderated.

Oh? And it's in accordance with Kabam's Terms of Service per below? If so, fantastic, would love to hear more.

"We would like to remind you all that the use of any 3rd Party Software or Scripts that modify or influence the game in any way is strictly prohibited in any game mode, including Story Content, Arenas, and Competitive Modes.

The use of any of these applications is a violation of our Terms of Service, and will result in varying forms of punishment. This can include, but is not limited to, temporary or permanent bans from The Contest, removal of items or Champions gained through these means, loss of access to specific game modes, loss of points and rewards in events, exemption from leaderboards, and even actions taken against your Alliance."

You must be new to the game and here. What that is referring to is apps that modify game files. What I am referring to is communication apps like Line, Discord or CHQ. These do not affect game files but allow your alliance to communicate better with each other. Line App has many chat rooms for MCOC like recruiting and what not as well.

That refers to any Third-Party Software that can be used to modify the game files, such as Mods or Emulators. Using Social Apps such as Line or Discord is not prohibited.

Line will be more private and helpful than the forums.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the feedback and find out what I can about Line, etc. Had I not asked the question, I would still be unaware that such tools existed. Thanks for the clarification and support.
  • FYI, LINE (in case multiple apps come up when searched) is a green icon, with white “bubble quote” and green text “LINE” in the quote. You can make group chats and have everyone in your alliance join the group chat. Can also post game pics and links in separate Notes or Albums sections of your Group Chat. Some alliance will even have additional groups so that messages pertaining to movement, paths, and unlinking nodes within each AQ/AW BattleGroup can be kept separate from each other.
    Hope that helps, good luck.
