    You forgot to factor in the snow constant: 3.27x mm sn^-1, where x is the height of the snow in mm. >1mm of snow is rounded up to 1 mm. This account for the spontaneous production of extra mass produced by the snow in Canada. So 100 catalysts * 3.27(1mm sn) mm sn^-1 = 327 catalysts.
