Quake concussion not blocking ability activation

Hi,
Can somebody please explain why Quake does not prevent power gain on Mordo boss in act 6.2.5. ?

This is driving me crazy ?! 🤯 I did a few early passes, bringing the boss down one-shot or in 1 max 2 revives.

All of a sudden, initially I thought it was me not playing properly anymore, so I filmed a few fights, concussion does not prevent his power gain anymore. What’s wrong ?

As you can see the rest of the team is at 40%, since you get a 25% ability reduction for each team member who is KOed. So now I put in a team revive before going into the boss.

But nevertheless Quake’s concussion does not prevent him to activate his power gain which makes it much more tricky to manage. This should not be happening since her ability reduction is supposed to be 100% and there is no other node preventing an ability reduction on Mordo.

he has Enhanced abilities, that gives him an extra 20% you have to knock down.. 100% aar does not equate to competently gone, percentage can be, and is used in this game to represent a unit of measure.

Mordo is not immune to aar or point out the node that’s doing it please... otherwise the strength in numbers node would be useless

    Passive:

Mordo’s astral form ensures that every ability properly activates, resisting against Ability Accuracy effects.
Mordo gets one bar of Power over 5 seconds, every 8 seconds. Opponents can interrupt the Power Gain when landing a hit on Mordo.

Strength in numbers is about your AA not his.

quake still shuts it down im a big quake player and i use her against mordo, i can say she shuts it down 100% of the time when concussion is up

It's spite node. His own power gain is getting blocked by Quakes -100% AAR but Spite still works as you dex his attack and have that precision buff on you.

    very true

Well, somehow the numbers are always in favor of Kabam, I feel. So you’re saying he’s having 120% ability, and minus 100% there’s 20% left 🤣.... what does 120% mean ? In this case, it is more often, that should not mean it is workaround aar....
I am sorry I dont understand your question. In your video you can see it is not procing all the time..

But I do hvae a better answer for you based on the video, when he proced his power gain he did not have concussion on, it wore off about a second earlier.

In this picture you will see that concussion has less time on it then does the power gain timer, and the concussion does not reapply itself until after power gain takes effect.

bottom is when the timer runs out, top is 0.1s later when power gain comes on.
this is what I am talking about...

there is a 20% chance for this to work....

I got your point, but it does not make sense. Mordo’s ability says he gains power every 8s, so this is not % based but seconds.

20% more often means, means instead of 10 times in 80s it should activate 12 times in 80s, hence every 6.7s, when the timer expires concussion should stop it from activating. That’s all, and as I said during the first 2-3 passes it worked normally. NO power gain at all.

If it was not a percentage then your AAR would not work, as AAR affects percentages. When an effect happens, unless stated otherwise you can assume it is a flat 100% it then gets 20% and then loses 100% leaving 20%. Likewise enhanced abilities affects Percentages not time, otherwise it would have no effect on spiderman's evade which is % driven, but it does.

Anyhow, would still be nice if a mod could give me a definitive answer, because if it is percentage based, what would that mean for Mordo’s power gain proc’ing more often ?! That’s time, no ?

    @Kabam Miike @Kabam Zibiit @Kabam Lyra

it will be 20% over a lot of fights, not 20% in your small set of tests. It can proc 100% in a single fight if the RNG is rolling well

Thanks, once again, but again and then I will stop, the 20% is more often, but it does not mean 20% above the attackers ability reduction. For me, this is in time, since Mordo’s ability is based on time. I got your point, can we now wait for someone from Kabam to reply to this officially, please ?

It does mean 20% above their ability reduction 100 -100 +20=20.
