Are the Cosmic Yolk objectives progression-locked?

BG VtD Points Not Always Awarded
I’ve done about 5 bg matches across 2 accounts where I used Venom the Duck, won that fight, and won the match. Only 2 of the 5 awarded an event point. I did a mix of regular and friendly matches. The 1 aspect of the egg relic that ruins the whole character...
When equipped, it reduces your total buff bank from 10 to 6. It takes away 4 of your potential buffs. WHY? If the goal was to "buff" VTD, why add a baked-in nerf?

Battleground Scrambler not working
I already had venom the duck in 6* and 7* before the event started. I got a 6* from the in game mail when starting but I’ve added the 7* to my battleground roster. So far I’ve won 2 separate matches with him and it’s not counting for the rewards. Do I have to use the 6* I received in the mail and not my 7*?

Missing Cosmic Yolks
