Same thing was happening with me on the thorn path in the electro quest. Didn't trigger consistently against sinister or rulk. Im seatin's video it was triggering all the time.

Anybody else notice that the "bonus" points for hero use aren't adding up? I beat a 6* in duel with a 6*. That should get me 3125 + 2500, but I only got the 3125. Same happened in quest.
