This means if you are fortunate enough to live in a place that has no daylight savings time it will always start at the same time it has been so far. One thing that is actually really useful to me, is that this also shows the opponent's combo. So you can use this to identify when the opponent has finished their combo into your block and punish them for doing so.

I believe some of the gems actually have no gold cost so the one you are looking at could be one of those. if none of them ever show a gold cost though that would be a bug, so let me know if that's the case.

So you can do this somewhat in reverse with this new feature. Just filter 6* and unowned and it will list the count of unowned 6* heroes you have. Hope that works for you.
