Still having the same issue as well as the person above, on a Samsung S7 Edge. Stuck on the dark screen without the modal to pick a side ever loading.

Same here. Claimed the object from the mail earlier and chose a side witout issue. Played this week's side quest, then saw that there was still a reward to pick in the stash.
