Play lots of arena. Earn battle chips. Open arena crystal. Earn gold. Rank up. Claim catalysts. Or just sell them. I know it hurts but it's better than losing it for nothing.

And another thing... My friend's 3* Phoenix earlier had 1900 rating at Max level.. he hasn't received a duplicate or increased it's ability. But now it has gone up to 2040
