Bug in game with Squirrel Girl

Refer to screenshot - how can the hits of Squirrel Girl keep increasing when I am the one hitting her. I am in 4 hits and she’s on 54 at same time. Then suddenly her hits falls to 22. And then starts increasing again. Is there something that I don’t know about and she’s hitting me in parallel?

    Hey there, keep in mind that Squirrel Girl has several different ways to increase her combo meter more quickly as well as consume part of her combo meter for additional effects, the details of which can be found in her in-game description or by checking out her Spotlight here. Additionally, Combo Shield can prevent her from losing her combo by being hit.
