Dr. Voodoo interrupted during spec 1

I was just. fighting a juggernaut in the new event quest on heroic. When I used my first sp1 on jugs it landed fine, but when I threw my 2nd one almost as soon as voodoo went to start doing the spec I received a lunge attack from jugs and my spec stopped and I lost my bar of power as if I used it.
