Quitting alliance war and possibly my alliance because I genuinely can't afford alliance potions

I can't fathom how the new glory/loyalty store changes will affect me in alliance activities. My alliance runs map 8 5x5 and almost always stay in plat 4 for alliance which isn't easy and the affordable potions from glory store and loyalty have helped me as far as keeping up. Not to mention I am an officer in my alliance and usually a boss killer so it requires me to have my champions at full health more than others, but because the outrageous changes have come I now know that I won't be able to afford keeping up. I guarantee the free compensations won't last forever and even then the compensations packets for me usually run out mid way through the week so at that point I'm spending what currency I got

It's so disappointing to see this milking of the players that Kabaam is doing and so unfortunate that it's making me feel that I can't play this game for free anymore

    Maybe, just maybe and this might be a stretch but... Kabam has actually heard a lot of feedback and might fix this before the season starts. I wouldn't give up hope quite yet because War is probably the mode that makes the largest money out of any of them and with high ranking players quitting they'll lose even more money than what they're missing out on. I don't represent kabam but I represent myself when I say that you should just wait out the storm and if nothing changes then the decision comes down to you.

    I'm in the same boat. I'll keep playing AW as long as I have potions in my stock with the compensations. Once I run out, I'm out of AW. Tier 1 wars already hard enough, not spending hundreds of units per war to heal up an 70k HP Apocalypse.

    If you are using all of your weekly potions half way through every week then maybe you are trying to run a little over your abilities in doing Plat 4. The potion packages are going to end at some point and even if the potions become a lot cheaper it will still be very, very expensive for you to maintain that potion usage. Everyone is freaking out about what’s going to happen after the free potions stop coming but for now that is just somewhere out on the horizon. There is time for kabam to fix this before it’s time for everyone to worrying about quitting their alliance and/or the game

    Just drop down and play in a more comfortable setup.

    No offense, but top rewards require top skill (or top ability to pay to keep up). I'd love platinum rewards or map 8 rewards, but I'd blow through items too to get them. I know my place in the game and that it's not worth (for me) thousands of dollars to be "competitive". And so i settle for map 5/6 and gold/silver wars but I also am not stressed and don't have to worry about any items. My roster ain't hurting either - just took a little more time and a lot less money than a lot of the guys at the tippy top (many are YouTubers who make a living off this game and invest back into it for their content or just big spenders).

    Some of the paths are so punishing and the potions barely refill much health as it is unless your by 300 unit team potions get expensive fast. No person will be able to drop day 30 bucks in war extra every war at worst. So minimal revives you are gonna spend 360 bucks extra a month on this game. There no sane person that would be willing to do that at this point. I can’t ask players in my alliance to drop and extra 500 bucks a season that’s insane

    There's 2 weeks until season starts. Give it some time. They have already taken much of the usable feedback into consideration.
