AQ Raids: A Preliminary How-To
Welcome to Alliance Quest Raids!
January 15th, 2024 is your first opportunity to experience Raids with your Alliance! Be sure to explore the enlistment options starting on January 8th, 2024!
Map Costs - Raid Tickets
To enter the raid map you will have to pay 180 Raid Tickets. Map costs for 7 & 8 have been removed but the Raid map will require this new ticket type:
Raid Tickets can be purchased in the Team Select Screen (similar to AQ Tickets, previously).
Raid Tickets will be sold at a flat cost using the following Currency’s.
- 1,000x Incursion Artifacts
- 75x Glory
- 2,000x Loyalty
- 8x Units
Players must pay their own way into a Raid map. The cost to enter is not shared across all Battlegroups. They can be purchased with a variety of currencies the same way you could purchase Alliance Tickets previously.
For the first Raid Event, we will be providing Raid Tickets for Summoners to enter for free.
Raid Tickets can be accumulated by Map 6-8 as Exploration rewards. Each time you explore a map fully you will gain the following amount of Raid Tickets:
- Map 6 = 6 Tickets / Exploration (24 / Week)
- Map 7 = 7 Tickets / Exploration (28 / Week)
- Map 8 = 8 Tickets / Exploration (30 / Week)
Raid Tickets can still be acquired during Raid events on the maps listed above but not by playing on the Raid map itself.
Raid Revives
During the Raids Event, there will be several free 100% Single Champion Revives available. These will have a stack of 2 available every 24hrs. Inventory is capped at 2 as well so use them every day!Additional single champ revives will also be available for Units.
Your normal AQ consumables will be also useable should you choose to use them
New Features
Raid Events
Raid Events are here. This is a new twist added every 4th week to Alliance Quests where players can choose to opt in and play against the Raid bosses or opt out and play AQ as normal.
In order to participate in Raids your alliance MUST enlist for it in advance of the Raid Week event starting. You can do this by enlisting for raids on the third week of AQ using the calendar.
Raids will speak to a very specific, very dedicated group of Summoners. But to make Raid events more meaningful for everyone, whether participating on the Raid map or playing regular AQ we’ve greatly increased the reward yields for Ranked and Peak Milestones. You will be gaining much larger rewards than usual for the maps you play even if you don’t play on the Raid map. More details for rewards will be provided below in the rewards section.
- Pro Tip: Take full benefit of increased rewards by moving up onto a higher map to maximize what you gain even further!
Players entering the Raid map have a full week to clear it. It does not reset each day as regular maps do.
For the first Raid Week event we will be increasing the Max Consumable Limit to be unlimited for all maps. This change will be limited to the Raid map only for following events.
Enlisting for Raids - AQ Calendar Screen
To enlist for Raid events you will be able to use the Calendar feature located on the Alliance Quests landing page. Again, You will need to enlist for the Raid map before the Raid Week Event begins. This can be done on the third week of AQ where the next week tab is.
- Note: When a Raid event is upcoming or active the state and text of the Current Week and Next Week will change. RAID WEEK! Text will appear in those sections alongside Raid buttons.
To enlist for a Raid map tap on the “RAID” button. From there you will be shown an info popup detailing the map's information. This page will outline all the necessary information needed to play on the map. The extra additions to the Raid map info page are:
Champion Requirements: The champions required to enter the map.
- Note: Only champions with the specified Role Tags will be available for selection when editing your team before entering the map..
Entry Cost: Raid Tickets are required for entry. The cost to enter the map isn’t shared between alliance members and will be 180 Raid tickets each.
Once you have enlisted and have tapped the info page away your changes are kept and you can preview your enlistments. During raid weeks you can enlist for the Raid map or play regular maps as normal.
If you enlist for a Raid Week under the next week section whenever a Raid week starts you will automatically be enlisted for it. When the event switches back over to a regular event your regular AQ Enlistments will resume. Remember, you need to save your enlistments once you have finished.
Enlistments are stored and will be remembered if you are going back and forth between enlisting for a Raid map or regular ones. As you can see in the images below if you had regular AQ map selections then selected the Raid map but decided to change it back again to regular maps, the previous map enlistment info is stored.
The Raid Map And How It Works
Roles & Raid Boosts - Before Entering The Map
The first step is deciding your teams. There are 3 lanes of bosses so you’ll likely want to split up into 3 groups of 3 with one Summoner in Reserve. Each Team of 3 will need a player of each Role, Tactician, Vanguard, or Assault. Decide in each team who will fill what Role. Make sure you take a look at the champs in the pool for each Role so you bring the right ones to the fight! These are the icons for each role:
Tactician
Champs: Hyperion, Hulkling, Angela, Gorr, Venom, Silver Surfer, Captain Marvel (Movie), Venompool, Sersi, Carnage, Doctor Doom, Longshot, Kushala, Doctor Voodoo, Spiderman (Supreme)
Vanguard
Champs: Mr.Fantastic, Silk, Red Hulk, Luke Cage,Abosrbing Man, Abomination(Immortal), Thing, Spider-Man, Titania, Cassie Lang, Colossus, Iron Man, Ultron, Civil Warrior, War Machine
Assault
Champs: Nick Fury, Black Widow(Deadly Origin), Black Panther, Hulkbuster, Masacre, Kraven, Storm (Pyramid X), Hit-Monkey, Domino, Crossbones, Storm, Magneto, Professor X, Kitty Pryde, Rintrah
Before entering the Raid map you will select a Champion with a specific Role Tag. Only champions with one of the three Role tags will be available to select.
The Raid Map: There are three paths to choose from on the quest board. You will want to spread out at least one of each Role type for each lane to maximize the benefits of your Role Force charges. Below is the layout of the map.
Each Role supports one another once you start building up Role Charges. Your main goal will be to gather as many charges as possible for your alliance teammates so they can maximize damage in their fights. More details on this will be provided in the Role Force section below.
When you enter the map you will see a Choice Node containing icons for each Role. You will want to match that role with your chosen champion role or the abilities gained from these buffs won’t work with your champion.
Each Role has three options, you will want to select the Boost that best suits your champions abilities. Below is a detailed list of each one:
Now that you’re at the boss you’ll want to organize the order you’ll be fighting. This will only matter for the first few fights while you’re building Role charges. Make sure that everyone has charges and you’re building them fairly evenly. Once you’re above 10 of any charge it will no longer grant more damage but will still be needed for that role to access Role Force.
Rinse and Repeat this for each boss, then all come together to take down the Final Ultron Boss as a group!
The last but not least is to obtain your rewards! The Raid Map has Treasure Choice Nodes located after each Mini-Boss. Defeat all three Mini-Bosses along each lane to access all of these awesome rewards. Players will only obtain rewards for the Treasure nodes they move to, they are not shared between everyone.

Map Updates
Map 7
Fixed points scoring for defeated opponents on the quest board. A few had the wrong values and were adjusted back to what they should have been. This shouldn’t affect your current scoring.
Map 8
Final bosses are being returned with less attack. This change is planned to be permanent moving forward but we may change it in the future if we feel the encounter needs it.
Old tuning:
- 500% Champion Boost
- 300% Health
New Tuning (100% less attack total):
- 400% Champion Boost
- 400% Health
Reward Updates
General Reward Changes
We have compressed Ranked Reward and Peak Milestone points by half for AQ so it’s easier to parse and so it works better with our system moving forward.
- We also halved the points that you gain from defeating opponents on the quest board as well as the points gained when using modifiers.
We are improving Honor Rewards as well, you will now be able to hit the max milestone based on the 4 day schedule if you max out your Honor score.
The Raid map won’t have Modifiers and won’t contribute to Honor Score.
