Regarding Collusion in Alliance Wars

Summoners,
A number of you have taken the time to report a pattern of behaviour in Alliance Wars that you feel violates the spirit and competitive nature of Alliance Wars. This is referring to the act of Collusion, when 2 or more Alliances make agreements behind closed doors that affect the outcome of their match.
This behaviour not only has a negative effect on Alliances that do not partake in collusion, but on the standings of all Alliances, and the leaderboards of Alliance Wars Seasons in general.
This behaviour violates the spirit of Alliance Wars, and The Contest as a whole, and is not allowed. We will not tolerate this kind of manipulation of Alliance Wars, and will punish Alliances for this behaviour in the same manner we do for Piloting, and the use of 3rd Party Software to unbalance the game. Actions will be taken on Alliances after an investigation has been conducted, and we are confident in our verdict. This means that we base our actions on in-game evidence. Screenshots from chats, or 2nd hand information will not be considered, as these are easily manipulated and not reliable evidence.

Since making this post to emphasize our commitment to keeping MARVEL Contest of Champions a fair and competitive game, we have seen a number of conversations and accusations emerging regarding some Alliances taking actions that do not align with the competitive nature of Alliance Wars, or of The Contest.
We want you all to know that we take such allegations very seriously, but must reiterate that we cannot accept hearsay or “third-party” screenshots as admissible evidence. This does not mean that we won’t investigate these allegations, but these pieces in and of themselves are not proof that these actions took place. Screenshots are easily doctored, and second hand information cannot always be trusted. When we receive such reports or allegations, we use this information to start an investigation into in-game activities. If there is no in-game evidence to corroborate the reports, and no proof of cheating or collusion, we cannot take action against it.
We also want to respond to an allegation that we, as a team, find rather concerning. We would like to clear the air surrounding the idea that some Alliances have “Communications” with the Kabam team. This can mean many things, from sending in a Support ticket, to a forum post, a comment on Facebook or Twitter, or a Private Message with a Forum Moderator. This does not mean that any Alliance is being given special treatment, or are able to affect decisions made surrounding policies, or in game. We do not encourage conversations outside official communication channels, and if anybody ever does reach out in any other way, they do not receive special consideration. In many instances, those that try to circumvent our regular customer service channels simply do not receive a reply. Being ‘in contact’ with us doesn’t mean that someone will get a response through these channels, or that the response will be to their liking.
Since Season 1 of Alliance Wars started, we have made large strides in combating behaviour that unbalances the game for players that play the game legitimately, and in doing so have shaken up the Top Alliance leaderboards a number of times. We are continuing to find better, more efficient, and more comprehensive ways to find and address any behaviour that does not align with the spirit of the Contest.
We hope this puts your mind at ease, Summoners.
