I noticed this on the other side of war as I couldn't find the profile of member who I would be attacking on my path today yet there was a full 10 eligible attackers showing.
On our side, we had a few ally members that changed their name today but when looking at our defense, their defenders still show the old names... I know that the name change is only supposed to be 1 time per 90 days but seems like a way to obfuscate names/profiles in AW particular if a whole BG decides to do it in one war to gain advantage (maybe one that really matters - like the last one(s) of the season).
Should not the profile names on defense get updated with the name change as well?
