In the game, #Metal doesn't mean 'made of metal', it means 'susceptible to Magnetism'. Captain Sam Wilson clearly has metallic wings, but they're Vibranium, and not classed as #metal in the game. Same for Killmonger and possibly-never-to-be-buffed Black Panther (Civil War).

Vision's main problem is his pillow-fists. If he had access to even reasonable damage, he'd be valuable, with some of the best power control in the game. The one thing you can say about Deathless Guilly & Groot is that their damage has been improved substantially, so.... I'd say there's hope...

He's tricky on nodes that requires you to Intercept - that's about it. Are you thinking of Variant 6.3.2? In "Fight at Joe's", these two nodes basically make Rhino (and Juggernaut, although this was released before his buff) the best champ in the game.

That may well be true. However, it's a game with lots of champions, and you won't have all of them. Onslaught is a better champion, sure. But if you have Apocalypse as a 6* and your only Onslaught is the free 3* you got, which one is more relevant to you?

This is the best solution. If the existence of these objectives prevents you gaining new objectives, then there is zero benefit to them lasting>24 hours. Yes, you get an extra point for completing the second side of the map. I did exactly the same thing, and got from 18 up to 21 points after getting to Valiant. Those extra rewards were a pleasant surprise, and a very nice extra bonus to becoming Valiant.

You can, but unfortunately Kindred is immune to Incinerate, so you're going to miss out on half of Wiccan's damage. He's great against Knull, though; as well as the usual buff-heavy cosmic champs.

He is, yes. So that's 23 Tech/Hero champs rather than 13 Robots. Also: Prowler is immune to Incinerate (as are iDoom, Iron Man and Peni) but they still take full (triple) damage from the Energy Burst on his SP2.
