Re: WOOF. Solvarch, for what it’s designed to do, is a nasty, nasty kit
@ItsClobberinTime I know what matchups he’s meant for bro… but there’s no way a 7* R3 should be taking 2 minutes for ROL fights. He’s not even fast for energy damage fights!! took 1 minute 37 seconds on storm in ROL. He sucks bro. Truly disappointing. Without fighting an energy damage mutant… he has one of the worst damage outputs in MCOC. That’s on 4.You're playing him wrong cause that doesn't make sense, how does it take you longer than me when I have a r1 and you have a r3?

Like I said, you're not playing him efficiently. The damage output isn't great but he spama so many specials back to back it adds up. If you use him for non mutant/energy basic attack matchups yes he's ass but if you use him for those specifically he's decent.
The only thing that needs to be buffed is the energy damage regen, it should be about 75%-80% not 50% cause at 50% he still gets nuked by Galan and BRB and can't stay aggressive enough against Onslaught and other mutants, but everything else is fine when you use him where you're supposed to use him.
Re: Fantastic Force Recruitment Midpoint analysis

Here’s a summary of how my main and two alts did in the event:

Both alts used nothing but free energy and energy refills from gameplay (i.e. no units). My main used about 6000 units for energy refills on top of free energy, and played about 1000 rounds total across three weeks.
I pushed somewhat harder in the last week, thinking that maybe some players would be doing the same and I didn’t want to drop out of top 200 after making it in the first two weeks, and that was apparently the case as 30k more points equated to identical rank in week 3.
Interestingly, my alts both landed in 2-5% in two weeks and 6-10% in one week, but landed in 2-5% overall. My guess is that on or above ranking 1% players were pushing to maintain rank, but below that players were not consistent in their efforts and did not place consistently in all three weeks, so slipping in one week did not cost rank.
I’m kinda curious to know what percentage of players just did the 10k minimum and stopped. Unfortunately, I did not try to do that with an alt to peg the score. I was busy traveling for a big chunk of the three weeks and didn’t have the time.
Overall, I’d say that as a replacement for a side quest, this was pretty good. It was somewhat engaging but simple, and it did not take a lot of effort to max out the milestones - which is essentially getting side quest level rewards. I could see this coming back a couple times a year, with different scoring mechanics or strategies (emulating poker is not something this has to do: clearly there are relatively easy ways to modify it to make it different or add additional strategy components to it).
As to the competitive side of it, I would say it is in many ways more enjoyable to grind than arena, and getting a 7* champ (even if it is not a top tier one) for the amount of effort put into it was reasonable compared to what it would likely have been in the arena if a 7* ranked reward existed. Of course, how much effort went into ranked scoring would have been a lot higher if it was a top chase champ, and it is tricky to extrapolate how high it would have gone.

Re: Why are Shattered Essence bundle this expensive?
No my problem is not the price on its own. My problem is why pay the same for less stuff?
Re: WOOF. Solvarch, for what it’s designed to do, is a nasty, nasty kit
Yep. He’s sneaky-effective against Zola@World Eater not even close. Solvarch is BAD. Mine is 7* R3 and can’t finish any ROL fight in under 2 minutes but storm.Because nobody in ROL has energy damage on basic attacks, you're basically using him in the matchups where he doesn't work. It's like using Sinister against a robot or someone with degen resistance and then sayin Sinister is BAD lol.
When you use him against a mutant, or someone with energy damage on basic attacks he's is VERY good, I did that Storm in 1:15 at r1. He can do the same to Onslaught, Jean, Capt. Britain, Sinister, Cassandra, Dust, Apoc + anyone with energy damage on basics like Zola Maw and Shuri. Bullseye and Spider Woman definitely a big no because he has no way to keep his damage up, but for everything else I mentioned he will be great as long as you know how to use him.

Re: Future foundation mr. Fantastic 2 bugged!
There’s another post showing that you have to KO the opponent - not just ‘win’ the fight. Presumably you could KO the opponent, lose the fight in points, and still meet the objective. This makes sense. The event was not very clear on this. So, it should read "KO a defender in Battlegrounds"
Thank you! I know the next Ping will be either "MH" or "UB", leaning towards UB, but want the shards

Re: The mysterium shortage continues...
I just realized something....

Trader's outpost was introduced as an improvement to the horribly outdated SQ rewards back in the day. Even the description says mysterium is earned thru SQ.
Why do I have to do objectives in AW and BG to get em this month?...
KABAM WTH!!

AQ is draining, boring full of missed inputs
Please get rid of this garbage AQ. It’s boring, it’s the worst piece of content to when it comes to missed/dropped inputs. It’s draining tagging ppl to move, it’s draining having to cover shared fights. Already I’ve had 2 SP attacks completely ignored & 2 medium attacks ignored. I have great WiFi & play on an IPhone 15 pr max so it ain’t the connection/phone & most certainly not a skill issue. It’s not hard to hit a button on a screen that you’ve been hitting for years.
Re: Why are Shattered Essence bundle this expensive?
Cause the 2nd buy is playing with your anxiety and its obviously working.
You are meant to buy the one that matches your progression level and not buy all of the others cause you want to rush the champion acquisition.

Re: Patriot buff live... I think
Yeah, he’s a great designer, which is what makes Patriot so odd. He’s faster sure, but still just feels like a Photon counter and not much else.I think DLL is brilliant and ive watched and listened to him for quite a while now. He seems to put more into and get more excited about defenders. What I gather from him is he wants very tough, restrictive defenders in the game and strong attackers that counter said defender. I asked him why we're getting so many restrictive defenders and his answer was because new attackers need targets. When is enough enough? The issue is they give these new defenders so many defensive abilities that when they create a counter it can sometimes come off gimmicky and not useful beyond being a counter to that specific defender. They're also trying to force us to use older champs that we normally dont have ranked up to counter a new defender. Im still not ranking them up to counter your restrictive, overtuned defenders. I respect all the devs but im not totally sold on the direction we're headed. The games not so fun to me right now.My issue isnt even the "buff". Its his kit to begin with. He's basically created to kill Photon. Problem is he's not good against the science class in general. He puts debuffs on himself but doesnt remove debuffs which is a no no for some science champs bc they benefit from you having debuffs on said champ. Hes not good against the mystic class in general bc he still gains buffs. Throw mutant out of course. This is the issue with these super restrictive defenders. We need tough defenders but with the game going in the direction of needing a hard counter for these newer defenders to have success, the new attackers/counters that come later can sometimes end up being a good counter for that champ and not necessarily good in other places in general. Some are but this is how we end up with a Patriot or Falcon Joaquin. Im not ranking up Patriot up just to kill Photon and not really have use for him anywhere else. Wish he had more utility like an anti evade mechanism of some sort. Just my opinion. Everyone is respectfully entitled to theirs.I re-read his kit today before I took my sig 60 Patriot for a spin, and it really is ridiculous how directly it matches Photon. Seems like a joke almost. Vigilance if you parry, steadfast for unblockable specials, can’t reduce his regen, applies weakness to the opponent to reduce block damage, etc etc. I really don’t know if DLL designed him over a weekend or what.
And the whole reversal mechanic still seems like it’s supposed to be some kind of big deal, but it’s just a gimmick. All I want is to gain the fury and precision so I can do some real damage. But to do it I have to back off, charge a heavy, hope the AI cooperates, and then after they get back up, you have to get another opening to actually use those juicy buffs.
Overall, I think they are in a tough spot with champ design. They’ve got 300 under their belts and they’ve clearly gone all in on RPG as the defining characteristic of new champs. One champ counters another, then the next one counters the next one, on and on. New debuffs, new buffs and counter-buffs. I think it’s working to some extent and 2025 designs have been mostly fun. But eventually they’re gonna run out of runway and the snake is gonna eat its own tail.
What I’d really like to see is some kind of new game-wide mechanic that is accessible to all champs and opens up some new space in the gameplay — something truly new that’s not just another layer of RPG details.
How long’s it been since we saw a new mastery?
