Re: The Problem with The Compensation
Yes, it might be a little harder to program to make up a special crystal. But, if they want to go the quick and easy route, then they can just as easily give the rest of us the same benefit, and let anyone who opens crystals this week get our 1:1 duplicates in the mail next week. What's the reasoning not to? That it will make our accounts too strong? Well, a portion of players were just allowed to make their accounts stronger, and get an advantage over the rest of us. That's not how a neutral referee manages a game. The only reason one player would ever get bonus points from a referee is if the opposing player actually broke a rule of the game, which we didn't do.
Re: Shame on you Kabam
The only way a 1:1 solution is actually somewhat “fair”, is if this new crystal with the complete pool didn’t offer dupe benefits (sig levels and titan shards) for any of the already-previously-basic champs. Since people already received those rewards. It gives them the chance to get the newly added champs that weren’t there, but without the double dipping of excess rewards.
Re: Shame on you Kabam
I have said multiple times, that ship sailed when they didn’t stop it immediately. So I was not in favor of that.
what makes far more sense are the ideas of so many selectors of new champs for the number of crystals opened. Or 1:1 crystals that contained battlechips and iso and the same % to pull a new champ. These were just a few of the ideas passed around here that were viable, workable and equitable. But they require one thing Kabam won’t do: dedicate time and effort to get it done. So for their mistake they would rather have rhe community explode than they themselves take responsibility for their mistake… with them taking all the inconvenience.
Re: Shame on you Kabam
Better to disproportionately favor the whales than to disproportionately favor all summoners who got lucky and throw the ones who didnt in the bin. At least whales are usually always favored
Re: Shame on you Kabam
They could make it a choice. Those effected by the bug who want to keep their results (maybe the pulled the long awaited Serpent or something like that) can just keep going like nothing happened.
Those who want the rollback and crystal compensation can open a ticket. Kabam would erase their openings and reset their crystals.
It's more work, sure. It's only natural when you need to compensate an issue. Happens in every work field
Re: Shame on you Kabam
I dunno why some people are defending the solution or acting like its a perfectly normal issue. They have been updating crystals for 10 years, the last 2 updates 1 on Titan and 1 in basic were a mess. This is lack of care and human error not a bug.
Re: BASE POOL CRYSTAL COMPENSATION - A SUGGESTION FOR A BETTER FIX
This situation is a total tragedy and it is clearly seen that Kabam has chosen not the best solution. I cannot imagine the impact on the future players involvement in the game if they keep their current decision. It feels like a corner case which decides the future of the game.
Re: BASE POOL CRYSTAL COMPENSATION - A SUGGESTION FOR A BETTER FIX
I spun 5 crystals out and thought it was weird I wasn’t seeing any new champs in the reel. I stopped for 15 minutes or so to see if there’s anything wrong. Then Kabam said they fixed the crystal so I opened my other 22. I guess I should’ve just opened them all at once. I’m an idiot.
Re: The Problem with The Compensation
I don't disagree and I am not taking a dig at you. You are dismissing other people's argument by minimizing their point of view.
Is this detrimetal for someone who just likes new champs and stays with a champ at sig 20? No is not, is it detrimental for someone who scrapes up every sig stone possible? Its very detrimental.
You are defending this issue by putting your point of view. Is it possible that this compensation is very detrimental; but only way for them to fix it? Does that mean it is the right fix or does it mean that its the only fix?
Re: The Problem with The Compensation
Don't take this as an insult; but you and I are not playing the same game. You are fine not doing stuff that you find too difficult or don't enjoy. Others do the stuff to make their rosters as strong as they can whether they enjoy it or not
You can't tell other what is detrimental or not when you don't put the max effort and treat things casually.
