Another point I want to make is the compensation itself doesn’t make much sense. The compensation is all rng because its only crystals. Youd figure the idea of compensation is that everyone would get equal resources. Crystals aren't equal because the champs you pull aren’t. I would think rankup mats would be the way to go. And we have had crystals in compensation in the past but usually they were either due to crystal related issues or the crystals we got were tacked on with guaranteed valued resources. Kabam puts a certain value on things and then determines that value is equal to what summoners went through. But crystals are too up and down to have a specific value in this situation. One summoner might get what he wanted. And another might get what he hates.

This comp package is an easier build and implementation than a clawback. Think of Shuri trying to remove the mind stone from Vision vs Thanos just ripping it out of his head. But none of this has to do with FTP. Units are a FTP currency and many players that spent units (which is the basis of the comp) are FTP.

There are any number of reasons. Parallel events are usually running, and you often want a stronger champ for things like raids. For example, I ranked up a 7 star champ, say Serpent, because I want to use him in raids and towers. People may want to rank someone up for use in incursions. Paid events are not the only things happening over these two weeks, right? The Elder progression then happened on its own, which is fine and works as intended. Elder triggers once you have 3 rank 5 7 star champs, so I cannot really stop myself from hitting it.

Leveling up is not the problem. Getting to Elder or Valiant is not the problem. The problem is that there is no effective solution for the points resetting on the track when it happens, which suddenly changes the cost of Archangel mid event. That is what needs fixing. Archangel should cost 320 points for everyone, not 500 points for someone just because they decided to play the game and progress, especially when the events in the game demand it. If this is a problem, then fine, do not allow the track to change during a special event. And what is stranger, the bonus track is still set to Valiant and did not update when I became Elder.
