Let's try to get to the end of 2026 first XD

I mean, you're just wrong. If Kabam didn't need F2P players they would simply make everything in the game cost money. You need people to play your game for it to succeed. It's just that simple.

That's just wrong. Making it more expensive won't mean less people have it. People competing actively will still spend for it. It just means that the people who spend will also be hurt and the people who don't spend will be hurt even more. It's literally a loss for everyone.

It's not about just catching up. At this point to even play the game you have to pay. Like imagine you just pulled a new champ from a titan. You cannot take that champion to the highest level unless you spend thousands of dollars.

And beyond that, the game should give ways for even free to play players to compete.

I mean we know what ascension will be like already though, it coming to the game doesn't change the fact that most of us won't be able to ascend new champs.

pretty sure theres a difference between not having the resource because its simply not attainable for a year vs spending 1000$ ion a singular champ for that resource

I feel the same way. This whole ascension idea seems rushed and they still had about a year to decide what to do. R5s are barely accessible atm. And theres like 10 r6s in the whole game because of banq?

Its kind of weird to say, but I would've rather had 8* than whatever this ascension stuff is. Ik you’re scaring people with the thought of 8* but ascensions seem way less incentivizing. At least with 8* you get the thrill of chasing and opening your fav champ in the crystal. Now you don't get that because ascensions are just a basic upgrade to the champ you already own which btw 2 levels isn’t even equal to 1 rank on a 7*. It would suck to have to re-sig an 8* but at least it would be fun to chase my fav champs again and have a cool new ability like adrenaline and stat focuses.

I spend on average about £20-25 per month across the year including the monthly sigil sub. Maybe a bit more but not much. I feel that plus arena and content grinding allows me not to swim with the big boys per se, but at least feel like I’m skirting round the edges. It means I have a roster that can cope with most if not all content out there (not the skill I hasten to add, just the content), and I’m happy where I’m at.

Once ascension hits that kind of spending won’t touch the sides, so where’s my motivation to spend anything at all? There is none, I’m not getting close to end game rosters and I have no desire to spend that kind of money on the game even if I had it.

Once 9.4 comes and goes so will the monthly sub. I might do a platinum track depending on the champ but that’s it. No cyber spending, no banquet spending. I can accept that it’s back to casual gameplay and I’ll find one thing else to spend my money on.
