KT1, CCP & Twitch Drops – Can We Talk About This?
I’m not trying to spark drama.
It’s just something that genuinely doesn’t make sense to me.
With the new Twitch Drops setup being:
• Weekly for CCP creators
• Every two weeks for non-CCP creators
…it kind of highlights something that’s been confusing for a while — why isn’t KT1 in the CCP?
⸻
He’s Not a Small Creator
KT has over 54,000 subs on YouTube.
He pulls solid numbers.
His streams are active.
His engagement is strong.
In the Marvel Contest of Champions space, that’s big.
He’s easily one of the largest and most consistent creators in the community, alongside names like:
• Seatin
• RichTheMan
• Legacy
• LeftyKnox
• Pepe
So this isn’t someone trying to break into the scene. He’s already one of the main voices in it.
He’s Applied Twice
And according to what he said on stream he hasn’t even gotten a response to his applications, nor has he been accepted.
That’s the part that doesn’t add up.
He speaks up for the community.
He calls out things when they’re off.
But so do other CCP members — and rightly so.
Constructive criticism clearly isn’t disqualifying, because we’ve seen other creators inside the CCP be critical when needed.
So from the outside, it’s just confusing.
⸻
The Twitch Drops Change Makes This Bigger
Before, CCP status was more of a badge.
Now it directly impacts a creator’s stream visibility and engagement.
Weekly drops vs bi-weekly drops absolutely affects viewership. That’s just reality.
KT mentioned on stream that this could mean he ends up streaming more casually, because the incentive just isn’t the same anymore.
And honestly? That would suck.
A lot of us watch his streams regularly. Even if it’s just in the background, it keeps people engaged with the game. That kind of consistency matters.

This Affects More Than Just KT
The bigger concern here is what this signals to everyone else.
If someone of KT’s size — one of the largest, most established creators in the community — can’t get into the CCP after applying twice, and now weekly drops are locked behind CCP status… what does that mean for everyone else?
From the outside, it starts to look like this:
• Weekly drops are reserved for CCP only
• CCP criteria aren’t clearly communicated
• There’s no visible pathway to qualify
• Even major creators can’t get in
So how are smaller or up-and-coming creators supposed to see a future there?
Before, anyone could stream weekly and benefit equally from drops. Now it’s effectively narrowed. Whether intentional or not, it creates the perception of favouritism — because only CCP members get the weekly boost.
And yes, supporting official partners makes sense. No one is arguing against that.
But there should be transparent, achievable criteria.
Something like:
• Hit X metrics
• Maintain X engagement
• Follow X conduct standards
And you qualify. Clear. Earned. Understandable.
Right now, it feels opaque at best and discriminatory at worst.
If someone nearly an decade into content creation, with strong numbers and a respected reputation, can’t get accepted — what does that signal to the smaller creators trying to grow?
If KT — who realistically has more stability than most — feels disincentivized to stream more regularly because of this change, imagine how that hits smaller creators who rely much more heavily on growth momentum and consistent drops to build an audience.
That’s the wider concern.
⸻
Why This Matters for the Game
Creators are a massive reason this game has lasted as long as it has.
People:
• Stay connected during dry spells
• Keep up with updates through creators
• Come back because of creators
So it feels strange to have one of the biggest and most community-backed voices not included in the program that directly supports that ecosystem.
This isn’t about favoritism.
It’s about consistency.
If someone with his size, engagement, and community reputation doesn’t meet the criteria — then what are the criteria?
⸻
Genuinely Asking for Transparency
That’s really all this is.
Not outrage.
Not attacking Kabam.
Just asking for clarity.
Because from a community perspective, it’s hard to understand why one of the most watched and widely respected creators isn’t in the CCP — especially when the new system now materially affects his ability to stream competitively.
Just to be clear — I have zero affiliation with KT. I’m not a mod, not a friend, not benefiting from this in any way. I don’t gain anything whether he’s in the CCP or not.
This is just me as a player looking at the bigger picture and asking: why structure it this way?
Why tie weekly drops to a program with unclear criteria?
Why potentially disincentivise not just one of your largest creators, but creators in general, from streaming consistently?
From an outside perspective, it feels like a strange direction to take when content creators are such a huge part of what keeps this game visible and alive.
That’s all this is — a concerned player questioning the trajectory. If there’s something I’m missing, fair enough. But right now, it just doesn’t make sense.
I welcome any clarification from Kabam on this, and look forward to some form of dialogue because this really doesn’t look like a good move to be making for the future of the game.
Big love,
ST4RL0RD ✌🏽
Re: The CCP Benefits and Privileges should be review
Hi @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex ,
Always appreciate your response.
- While I do agreed with you that when a creator get accepted to the CCp their are able to create content and express their own view. However I'm sure you would agreed that there are some very well know creator out these where their CCP applications never been accepted by Kabam, and I not talking about extremely controversial one.
- I do agreed and most of the community does accept that the CCP should have extra benefits and privileges compare to other but what they have access previously (and the earn from the webstore) should be more than enough advantage. But let face it, if a creator got access to testing map, new champions, unlimited rank up materials, and still can't get enough viewings be themselves, and need Kabam to literally give them stuffs to give out for free to get viewers, then their abilities as a creator is really come into question. This would be where the question of unfair completion come into play.
Just feel like these last 2 (Promo Code and Exclusive Twitch drop) crosses the lines that doesn't need to be cross and creating an unhealthy environment for the MCoC community.
Plus one of my favourite content creator stop uploading stuffs, so who am I to watch now?
f you happen to talk to that Karate Michael tell him, he might earn more from doing MCoC content than his day job. 😉🤣
Re: The CCP Benefits and Privileges should be review
I agree. I have my favorite and trusted content creator, thanks to whom I always know what is worth ranking up and investing in, because he doesn’t sugarcoat anything. However, because of that, he isn’t liked by Kabam. I don’t even bother checking out content from other creators because I usually don’t value their opinions (except from time to time, maybe a tier list or something).
Him not receiving monetary benefits from CCP codes was bad enough, but now he also won’t be able to create content at the same time as creators who are in the program. That is incredibly unfair — not only to him, but also to his viewers.
Even though he isn’t liked by Kabam, he is still respected and recognized within the community and deserves at least the same access to content at the same time as CCP members.
4 hours of beeing favored even every now and then is huge and DO create a unfair advantage. Im not going to use anyone elses ccp code (not that you care, that is just a statement). CCP project from monetary benefit grows to exclusion from creating content in time
Re: The CCP Benefits and Privileges should be review
I love watching Vega, KT1 and Bero Man.
I don't even know which CCP members are streaming on twitch.
I think its not a good idea to give that benefit to CCP members.
Its creazy that Vega an KT1 are not even in the CCP they are one of the biggest Youtuber. And they are Straming regulary. The irony is that Usafa, a mega-whale, joins the CCP with 8,000 subscribers and maybe posts a video once a month. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy watching Usafa.
I think its just a bit unfair . What are the condition to get in the CCP?
Re: New Progression Finally!
Are you high on something? I also got 3 pulls in the banquet, did any content that gives t5, and still missing around 20% or the 3rd one.
Re: The CCP Benefits and Privileges should be review
Also, most of the CCP members are not quality material to watch, or even to trust, and that says something.
Re: End of an Era – Back Issues
New title droping, Carina's…. this is just a nerf to farm revives with energy.
That's all.
The CCP Benefits and Privileges should be review
There multitude of players creating MCoC contents on Youtube, Twich, Art, Infograph, etc. Bringing their own unique perpective of the game for their fellow Summoners. You always find someone with similar vibes to watch.
Some maybe in the Kabam CCP while other are not, but they all bring something important to the game and the community.
Now for a long time, we all accept that those that have been selected into the Kabam CCP get extra benefits and privileges and that is completely understandable.
Those privilege including:-
*Testing Map
*Access to New champions (and material to rank them up)
*Special Meet up event
(Earlier information drop
*I assume direct communication with Kabam team
These enable Kabam CCp to create contents that other can't, like champions testing, Monthly Update, Infograph, which in turn more opportunities to get viewers and potential generated more income than those that are not in the CCP.
And to be honest, we all accepted this arrangement.
On top of all of this CCP now also earn directly from Kabam a percentage of Kabam sales from the Webstore.
However the 2 new recently addition benefits have to risk of breaking the diversity and colourful the MCoC community and its voices.
CCP Promotion Code and Exclusive Twitch drop.
With the previous Benefits and Privileges for the Kabam CCP it does not actively discourage viewers from watch other content creators that are not in the CCPs, however with these two news additions, it directly "herding" viewers into CCP stream only, which is also directly taking away viewer from non CCP stream.
With time this will reduce the number of "independent" MCoC content creators, and we are left only Kabam CCPs, reducing the voice and perspective on MCoC.
Really hope Kabam would review this, it is really not health for MCoC and its community.
TLDR:-
Kabam CCP have too much benefits, and creating an unfair competition against non CCP creators.
MCoC will lose a lot of non CCP creators which will be a detrimental to the vibrant and diverse community.
Re: Stream Recap - February 27, 2026
the chance for a cluster drop out of an empowered crystal isn’t 45% but 0.45%.
Besides that, thanks for your hard work!
