I just don't get it, I know we should try out new things, might just be a bit of fun and so on.

Handicapped - Unknown

Match up - Unknown

Fight - Auto

So what exactly is the information we are based our choice on???

Take away all of game knowledge (who counter who, ect), take away skill (autofight), and take away rewards info.

So an event that strip off all the essence of MCoC, change it to a card game but without stats.

All with a cost of units?

No, they are perfectly normal for Raids...

The fact that you think it might be a reason for a ban bothers me, specially since you are a "high alliance" player, and Raids have been around for quite a long time ..

It could be fun if they provided the necessary meaningful information we need before doing anything in this event

but then they followed up hunger with a Steve quest 9.5/10

Not exactly. People care. What you're doing is causing an imbalance in the system, and people who shouldn't advance end up advancing, only to be trampled later when the others make their run. It's bad, whether explicitly prohibited or not.

It is when you get nothing of value back

If I got 200 units back for winning, sure, then it'd be worth it.

I am incredibly confused by a profile picture, which we get flooded with for free, being used as motivation to spend 100 units. I don't know if I've ever been so generally uninterested in something in my life.

Not even hating on the event, just failing to understand why it's supposed to be worth existing.

I am keeping my 100 units, I dont like pfps or titles.
