y’all gotta separate sunken cost phalacy from addiction…

if you cannot stop, and cannot put it down and not start, and if it is negatively impacting the rest of your life despite this, it’s an addiction. like, spending bill money. blowing off work/ school/ social occasions to finish a grind. separation anxiety, an uneasiness or dread when you’re not regularly engaging in the habit (purely psychological side of addiction, like mental withdrawal).

that said, as an addict (recovering, surprisingly well), this game can in fact be addictive. you do not need any chemical compound to chain yourself to a sinking ship; ask gamblers, serial adulterers, and the like. and the “I’ve already invested so much, so…” argument (lie) to yourself is part of that slippery slope.

disconnect. disengage. go hug someone, grab dinner and catch up with them. go to church, or if that’s not your thing, go do some volunteer stuff; do something for someone else. unplug from EVERYTHING for a while each day; prayer/ meditation/ enough absolute quiet to still the mind is in short supply, and does wonders. then, come back in a few days and see if it can be just fun again.

just be well, and don’t let something that should be “just fun” make you sick.

I haven’t updated the game yet and it was still gone this morning. Why say it’s running until Nov 5th if you’re going to shut it down a whole day early.

Happens every time. These special incursions need to be scheduled to end before the new update is even available.

This issue has been dragging on for months, and it’s honestly ridiculous that Kabam still hasn’t fixed it. What’s even more frustrating is that it’s just one of many problems they keep sweeping under the rug. Every update seems to introduce new bugs instead of solving old ones and it’s like they’re competing with themselves on how poorly they can manage things.

For a company that’s been around this long, you’d expect at least a hint of professionalism but clearly that’s too high a bar.

yep, on sector 6 zone 13 with 15hours to go. Haven’t updated the app yet, but now it’s gone. Great stuff
