Re: Bug abuse or work as intended?
Repeating paths is not a bug or issue, since it's built as a "randomizer" and you get more tickets than there are paths.
As a gated entry, with tickets being refunded if you exit out, this is not a bug, it is working as intended. The paths are basically class-dependent because of the defenders and nodes, so if you end up on a path you literally can't do because of who you selected, you can always exit the quest without worrying about wasting your ticket.
None of this is a bug, just a poor design by Kabam. If the way it's built allows me to try a few extra times for a path I'd rather have, I'm going to use how the game mode was literally designed and released to us to achieve that.

Re: Kabam Hypocrisy Exposed
This is a ridiculous conspiracy, and I've heard some doozies.
Re: Kabam Hypocrisy Exposed
It doesn't affect you any more than it affects me, or anyone else. Is there an overall effect? Yes. Nothing is inert in an interconnected system. It's certainly not as dire as people are making it out to be.
I don't agree that it's the worst route. I think it's the most efficient way to be fair to the people involved, without making things worse. People keep talking about fairness like it's a given that everyone in the game MUST have every advantage that any other Player has, and that's not only untrue, it's just naive. That rule doesn't exist. People have advantages all the time in this game, one way or another.
The real issue and the real argument is, people think it's unfair that some people stumbled on some freebies that they're not getting for themselves. Quite honestly, I'd rather people come out and say they're jealous than to blow the overall effects out of proportion, but that wouldn't be the status quo for this Forum.
Sometimes people luck out in life. That's about it.
Re: Kabam Hypocrisy Exposed
Just because it doesn't affect you doesn't mean its not affecting the game.
Compesation being the right thing for the people who got affected doesn't mean is the right thing for the game or the game environment. Your opinion is based on your good faith that "they are taking the best route"
Is it possible that they are taking the worse route because it is the only route to fix their mess up?
Re: Kabam Hypocrisy Exposed
A 1:1 is insane. They just rush out to say something. Could have thought about it before making a rash decision and easily could have said "looking into the situation to address accordingly". Something will be done regardless and it takes days to receive compensation anyways. The boost some accounts will get after this… I'm not sure if I'm on the benefiting end of this, but giving a flat compensation to everyone wouldn't be so bad, would it? Like we all get 10 7* crystals and call it a day. Not sure if progression would affect things. You were supposed to bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness!
Re: Kabam Hypocrisy Exposed
The way they decided to compensate the issue literally broke my heart. I do not know what I want from this game. It feels so disrespectful for all my time, effort and money while building up the prestige comparing to hudnreds of free sig stones they are going to gift to "lucky" people at "lucky" time.
Re: Kabam Hypocrisy Exposed
There have been many better solutions proposed on here since the announcement. At this point I think 90% of kabams communication and decision making problems could be solved if they just ran a public poll instead of having an internal meeting
Re: Kabam Hypocrisy Exposed
I mean, that is pretty much the lesson I've learned from this incident. Hoard resources, wait for glitches (won't have to wait too long with this game), and then exploit exploit exploit. Why would anyone do the right thing when Kabam rewards doing the opposite?
Re: Kabam Hypocrisy Exposed
The best part? The next time Kabam might well ban people for exploiting it. Or they won’t compensate anything. There is no direction or set principle you can hang your hat on. They just arbitrarily decide what they want to do and then churn out an AI composed response the game team will never look at again.
and they will chuckle amongst themselves when they see forums months later pulling back up old posts showing their position changed.
