My crystals were pretty lame too to be honest, about 40 and really just sig stones and random relic material, but eh, its no worries, I had some good luck in the past, this years just not banquet.

i agree there should be one choice - grind for months to get that one champ but all luck wasted for the champ u don't want

To be fair, this is MCOC and we've all gotten used to skimming over everything for keywords lol. I definitely also didn't read the whole thing and was wondering where the stones were.

I'm quite happy with what I've gotten. However, what surprises me a bit is how relatively few rank-ups I've actually done as a result of laying down 20k units on this. I came into the event with enough t7b to rank up one champion to r4, and after spending those 20k units, I've made a total of two r4 rank-ups. So essentially, I've only made a single Banquet-enabled r4 rank-up. I also currently have enough t7b to r4 another champion, but am lacking t4a. There are six more t4a in the Realm event so I should be able to do that second Banquet-based r4 rank-up, and then there's a generic 3-4 gem at the top of the Realm event, so that makes a total of three Banquet-based r4s.

That's not bad, but it's certainly different compared to last year where it felt like I ranked up half a dozen or more champions. Not necessarily to r3, but at the very least to r2. However, this year, since there is such a t4a drought, I've really had to prioritize between ranking up newly-pulled champs to r3 or pre-existing champs to r4. Even if I have enough t7b to take my new shiny champions to r4, it's hard to do when they're stuck at r2.

I would have loved, say, a Founder's Keeper 2-3 gem or something to alleviate that t4a stress a bit. It's not a massive problem or anything, but it's noticeable and ever so slightly annoying nonetheless.

But that's a minor nitpick in the grand scheme of things. I'm very happy with the stuff that I've pulled beyond just rank-up materials, and despite what it may have sounded above, I am very satisfied with the rank-ups I have actually done today. Overall I think it's a significantly improved experience over last year. I'm probably about as happy with the rewards that I ultimately ended up with this year as I was last year, but the journey there was much more pleasant this year since the actual crystal opening was a lot more satisfying. I really liked the grace system. Beyond just working well as a way to guarantee better pulls, it also allowed you to pool a bunch of top-tier prizes for a very satisfying final hooray. That made the big crystal opening close (aside some stray crystals that'll trickle in over time as the other events progress) with a bang rather than last year's barely audible whimper.

I really liked that.

That is a rough ride people — say whatever you want about my skills, but that is a rough ride 😅😅

These posts are always well and good, but if you don’t pull anything of value once in a while it sours a major opening like this event even further.

Hoarding units all year to do a massive opening and getting very little that will further your account just pushes people further away.

The one positive that came out of this entire event is the extra 100 sig stones from the alpha shard jubilant crystal. That is really the only thing I am looking forward to.

Congrats to you! Wish I had the same experience. It’s always fun opening the crystals but I definitely didn’t have the RNGods on my side today.

Responding to that feedback alone got me even more excited for this event, and I’ve loved the event so far. My alliance and I were all in a call opening crystals at the start of the event
