I think literally every major streamer including CCP members is disgusted by this system of paywalling new champ ascension, especially because Kabam earlier said all new champs would be immediately ascendable.

Like, don't say something like that and intentionally leave out the elephant in the room: all new champions will be immediately ascendable IF YOU BUY THEM THROUGH THE FEATURED CRYSTALS.

Honestly I'd rather they just did neither XD. They should focus on adding content to the game and new champs for a while. Take some more time to figure this all out.

For 90 percent of people, spending 300 a month on a mobile game is out of the question. I have nothing against it of course, if people have that money and support them, thats okay. But to make it a core requirement is literaly insane and as you pointed out, its not even enough, you would probably need to spend thousands regurarly to stay relevant.

How can they be so out of touch with their own fanbase where a wast majority is minor spenders, like 20 a month and f2p?

Also, there s worse content creators in the program that don't do anything except playing the game in front of an audience.

I mean, you're just wrong. If Kabam didn't need F2P players they would simply make everything in the game cost money. You need people to play your game for it to succeed. It's just that simple.

That's just wrong. Making it more expensive won't mean less people have it. People competing actively will still spend for it. It just means that the people who spend will also be hurt and the people who don't spend will be hurt even more. It's literally a loss for everyone.

It's not about just catching up. At this point to even play the game you have to pay. Like imagine you just pulled a new champ from a titan. You cannot take that champion to the highest level unless you spend thousands of dollars.

And beyond that, the game should give ways for even free to play players to compete.

I mean we know what ascension will be like already though, it coming to the game doesn't change the fact that most of us won't be able to ascend new champs.
