Re: Can you get banned for exploiting the Purgatory bug?
none because you can’t tell who “exploited” a crystal bug after an announcement was made since a lot of players don’t check the forums or MCOC discord
Re: Can you get banned for exploiting the Purgatory bug?
Not even remotely the same situation.
Re: The "random" deadpool event pass...
You can exit and your entry is refunded, so you can keep retrying for a specific path. All it costs you is 2 energy each time
Re: Coliseum Strategy
I would legitimately do ANYTHING besides AQ. This is a new mode. It sounds complicated because we’ve never done this before. How about we try it before making broad sweeping statements
Re: What's the alliance comp?
Stop crying
Kabam is fair enough always
They did the right think
Go launch some sparks or fireworks
Edit= Thanks Kabam 🥳
Re: The Problem with The Compensation
Let's be honest about the good samaritan thing. When it comes to real exploits like creating a million twitch accounts to get the twtich drops a ton of times, sure, most of us would never do that because it's not the right thing to do, but when it comes this, the majority would.
I had the chance to pop pre-fix and didn't take it because I weighed the possibility of compensation being worse than it was, so I played it safe and waited for a fix. If I knew for sure that we'd get a 1:1 comp, I would have 100% opened them instantly, and I think everyone else would too. 99% of us who didn't pop when we had the chance weren't good samaritans for waiting, we played it the way we did out of self-interest.
We're salty that our crystal experience was the normal kind and not the crafty kind. This isn't new either. For years, if an offer ends up being bugged (especially those cav nexus crystal offers from 2021), players were incentivized to buy them quick so they can get free comp after.
Re: The Problem with The Compensation
I'd say it is a fact. They made the decision, posted it, then followed through with it, then commented that the concerns were brought to them and they still went through with it. Besides the reality that their comments are as close to fact as we can come on here, what more would you need to call something fact?
Re: The Problem with The Compensation
That is not a fact, and they didn't double down, they took the only solution possible.
That's as much a fact as saying that the best cure for a headache is decapitation.…
Re: The Problem with The Compensation
So here’s my unique situation. And I will admit this is a personal problem for me but I think it illustrates why this whole compensation was handled less fairly than possible.
I was on a plane at the time of the crystal change. I was fully expecting to open all of the 30 crystals I had saved up as soon as the clock turned. As fate would have it WiFi went down on the plane and was never restored. As soon as we landed I flipped to cell service and opened all of them. Had no idea I was about 15 minutes after the fiasco was fixed. So something beyond my control ultimately cost me double crystals.
The point of this whole story is that much like most of this game, randomness benefitted some and not others. If the goal of the compensation was to create an even playing field, this issue was not handled appropriately. If the goal is some people will always “out luck” others, mission accomplished.
