Re: Epoch of pain advice
My brain is too slow to register a colour and then react. I like the counting of flashes. But yeah, that's a good shoutThe debuffs path was easy with sentry. Each combo will take down 6% if you slow your combo. All great advice, also, when he uses his sp1, the weapon (axe) glows orange, and for sp2, the sword glows blue
For Ares, Practice makes perfect. 1 red flash if eyes mean sp1, 2 flashes mean sp2.
Also the order is the Same always.
Sp1 : DPPLD
Sp2: PPLDDU
Re: Ares, a Good Sign or a Destroyer of MCOC
Don't enjoy it at all. Even after a few runs. The littlest thing like adding aggression in Phase 4 would make a huge difference. Instead, they give him horrible AI.Idk ab everyone else but Ares was going for every intercept in the last phase. I kept doing backdraft light intercepts and it worked until he got his special and killed me .

Re: Ares initial run by an *average? Valiant
20+ revives on Ares alone for completion. Idk if I have enough units for exploration. I couldn't parry the specials and felt like he threw sp 2 80 percent of the time which is much harder than sp 1.
Re: Ares initial run by an *average? Valiant
I mentioned this in a separate thread. In hindsight, I think it’s poorly designed. This currently version of Ares should be the Ares 2.0 we will fight in the future, similar to how Collector and Grandmaster have a second version of themselves.I agree with this for specials that are so complicated.
Ares has a specific instructions on how to avoid damage from his special attacks, but what does Kabam do? They don’t ease you in to a new champion’s animations. What do I mean by that? From 100-90%, sure you can get used to his SP1. But what happens after that? He randomly chooses between SP1 and SP2.
What should happen?
Phase 1: allow the players to get familiar with SP1
Phase 2: allow the players to get familiar with SP2
Phase 3: allow the players to get familiar with alternating between SP1 and SP2
Phase 4 & 5: randomize the special attacks
I think that would’ve been a much pleasant experience for the players. Granted, he’s still difficult, but it becomes increasingly more difficult as the fight goes on through the above suggestion.
A clearer special indication would have helped tremendously. The eye glow thing is way too subtle to be useful and the weapons aren't obvious enough to recognize before you're getting smacked unless you're lightning fast. Something more like his standard point at you when the root spears come out for SP1, and something like Zangief's win pose with both arms pointing up for SP2 at the root spears would be great. If the point is for us to recognize it and perform the mini game perfectly, make it so most people that play the game can recognize it.
Re: Ares initial run by an *average? Valiant
Kabam forget how to do fight that all players are able to enjoy.Just this.....

Re: Ares initial run by an *average? Valiant
Some aspects of the fight are interesting however as you say the precision requirement sucks. Like it’s hard enough to lock in and perform specific actions in the correct order but to also determine what special is being thrown and then time everything right especially the late phases feels like they are trying to hard to design outside the box. If they lessened the precision of inputs it would be better.
Re: February Side Quest - ‘Til Deathless Do Us Part
@Kabam Miike @Kabam Zibiit @Kabam Vydious @Kabam Porthos @Kabam LyraIt's definitely not a bug. It's got to be intended so that you cannot collect Mysterium for 3 paths in 5 different levels.
why are all the levels locked except one, would be great if someone can answer. Nowhere it was mentioned that the side quest is progression locked. Is it a bug!?
With the top couple threat lvls giving 9,000 per path (lvl5 at least, I think lvl4 too?) and still being able to snag decent amounts at the lower tiers, they didn't want you being able to max out all the possible rewards.
Which, lets face it, is funny because the rewards in Trader's Outpost are so bad at every level, that even if you were to snag everything, it's not making much of a difference on your account at all.
Re: Overall reception of epoch?
Best piece of content in the last 2 year imo. Love how some of the nodes make fights that much easier when going up to ares, and fighting areas after fully understanding his kit is so fun, can easily get him down to 1% with one run. Please send a video.
Re: Toughest 7* gem decision
Serpent is meta yes but hes in the basic pool, maestro isnt.
Ive heard some say the dupe is big for maestro on defense and some say its not as significant , it does help for offense though

Re: Epoch of pain advice
Anyone with big basics deal great against ares so yeah, Titania will be great to brute force a res just remember you're going to brute force him only so save your l1 revive and team revives and use l2 revives on the path if needed.Unfortunately i have only a r4 6* silk and i’m waiting for the 7* (maybe one day 🙄) but i have titania/deathless shehulk at r3, can they deal with the all path? ThanksSilk does a good job against aresFrom what I have heard, nearly everyone has done the debuff path for their first run. Good counters include titania, silk, hulk(ig?), sentry(ig?),The nebula path right? Yeah i saw many videos and i might have a good team for that path but i don’t know if that team is good for ares too 😵💫 thanks for your reply
Also you want to use a single champion against ares, as the crossfight charges are placed on the attacker
If you have Sentry he really helps clearing the path.
