Re: Coliseum Strategy
Speaking of the TAGS for different DAYS, seems like maybe I misunderstood how there were gonna be implemented.
(1) ASSUMPTION (based on Kabam recommending holding off on Champs with lower # of Tags on Day-1, because that champ may have more of their tags used in later days).
To me that said that Tags for Podium 1-3 would ALWAYS be the DAY-1 Tags, and Podium 4 would be Day-2 Tags, etc, and Podium 5 would be Day-3 Tags.
But turns out that you can do your Podium 1-3 fights over using a DIFFERENT CHAMP, and then that fight/score will be based on the “then day's” NEW TAGS (ie, Day 2 or 3, depending which day you are doing the new champ's fight even on those earlier podiums).
(2) And so does it seem that ONLY if you are replaying an earlier Podium with your EXISTING TOP SCORE Champ again on that Podium, will they still be based on that EARLIER DAYS TAGS ???
Just seems an odd way to design that.
And so if you delayed all your fights until final day, you are unable to benefit from any fights using the earlier days Tags. Are you would have a much lesser pool to choose from (overall) because all 5 podiums you'd have the same Tags from which to pick champs with.
Re: Coliseum - Kabamed
it’s just a really dumb game mode. “How can we get them to NEVER put the phone down?”….”I know!”
I already don’t have to do EQ since the new changes I haven’t touched it and never will. Side quest are hit or miss. I can get away with not playing them most months. What keeps me coming back…the addiction they created🤪
Re: Coliseum - Kabamed
You can, if you want to get credit for a single medium or light attack. But that's not enormously helpful, really.
Putting a champ with such ridiculously long SP2 in a time-limited fight, with additional quite short active timers within the fight was a deliberate choice, calculated to frustrate players.
Now, challenging and frustrating the players is fine, if it's a "Summer of Pain"-type of Everest event: the clue is in the name.
But putting a really tedious, grindy, frustrating defender in the brand new game mode that you want people to be enthusiastic about?
That seems like less of a good idea...

Poor form, @A_Fungi
Re: Is it possible to request a ticket and still get rewards for coliseum after my alliance kicked me?
Damn, what a **** that guy
Coliseum - Kabamed
1. Adam Warlock might be the most annoying champ to fight against on a timer. Power gain, long annoying special 2, pod
2. Too Passive: Not only is Adam Warlock annoying with power gain/special2, but the AI has been adjusted to be sooooo Passive, worst part of this game has always been baiting specials. If he doesn't throw sp1 not much you can do about it. Shouldn't need champs like DShe SHulk, Pavitr to get the AI to throw a Sp1.
3. To go with the passive AI, they conveniently introduced Pavitr Prabhakar- who you can buy right now - that has similar taunt ability
4. Coliseum XP is a long grind. What should have been maybe 3 fights per podium (best score counts) turned into 100+ fights for small XP. The idea being you spend units to upgrade the podium faster
Welcome to more complaints, but similar to Battlegrounds, Arena, monthly EQ, AQ, this game mode is repetitive and boring. Day 2 and I'm already bored/don't want to play anymore.
Re: 2025 Banquet Pre-Mortem
Last year's banquet may be the worst but this year's will be the best for sure.
How I would fix Coliseum
1. Remove the podium leveling system. It has to go. The fact that I can do a legendary run with perfect RNG and cooperative AI and clear say 22 bars with Deathless She-Hulk but have it count less than someone who only cleared 15 bars but has a more upgraded podium is garbage. My choices shouldn’t be endlessly grind the podium before trying for a magic run or pay to upgrade my podium. If I take the former route I’m likely to never get the magic 22 bar run again but I’ll certainly be frustrated by the process.
2. Either put the point multipliers in the tags or give some sort of boost to champs that fit the tags. (This point assumes that the podium leveling system has been removed) Currently there is next to no incentive to use champions that meet the suggested tags. They only offer a maximum of 60,000 points to your score before the multiplier. Using a champ like Gentle, who covered all 3 of the tags on the 1st day was completely pointless given how difficult that fight is for him vs a champ like Onslaught who covered none of the tags but could easily make up the point definite and then some. If you want people using certain tags, you have to make it worth it. You have to make it difficult for a champ who don’t fit the tags to score as highly as a champ that fits one or two of them at it should be near impossible for a champ that covers none of tags to outscore a champ that covers all three. There are two ways to accomplish this - either attach a point multipliers to the tags instead of giving a flat number of points… or you could give a damage multiplier to champs that meet the tags. Gentle with 300% more damage would probably give Onslaught a run for his money in this mode if that were the case. Without something like this the mode will devolve into something like Battlegrounds where nearly everyone uses the same champs in their deck with a few node specific champs every meta. If you want us to use specific champs GIVE US A GOOD REASON TO USE THEM!
That’s it. Take away the tedious leveling system that turns the mode into a grindfest sucking all the fun out of it and make the using tagged champs actually matter in the scoring so they’re more than just the ignorable suggestion that they are now
