Re: Kudos
Kudos to
and team for putting up a really solid roadmap. Im a player for 8+ years and witnessed how Kabam always made it right for player and fanbase. No doubt they would turn this around.
As for the EQ not sure whats the fuss is about, but it was really fun and challenging. Really put my roster into the test. Thats the whole point of ranking 7* to rank3/rank4 right? If i rem correctly, the EQ was much harder back then.
i believe the bigger issue still here is the state of BG. It sucked out the motivation out of me. The mode still plagued with cheaters. Still encountered players with low 2-3M rating with 10+ rank4 already. They finish you off in seconds unscathed with whatever champs. Feels worse when you check their profile and realized you didnt had the chance to begin with. Is this going to be addressed too?
Re: Kudos
It was really well written and put together the key points in my eyes. I think really well said by Kabam.
Re: Middle ground
All I am going to say is at least KABAM are listening to us the players and coming to a halfway point to accomodate al lthe concerns regarding Spooderwoman and the new EQ, I take my hat off to @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex for all the hard work he puts into the game and for the community in general. He goes out of his way to meet us in the middle so coming out and saying what the OP said I think is complete disrespect in all regards!
Re: They partially went back on Spider Woman Nerf, not completly
I like the change. I agree with @ItsClobberinTime in that I dislike unreliable abilities. The AA reduction of Ensnare is cool in situations where it doesn't really matter, but when you need pinpoint precision, having a 30% of things failing can be detrimental. And having things fail 30% of the time whenever you fought her was excruciating. Even if you brought in champions that should be able to counter her, those counter abilities could fail and you'd be screwed anyway.
Meanwhile, I believe Kabam when they say that this will make her an even more reliable evade counter since her opponents now won't be able to shrug off the debuff that shuts down their evade. I think that's a fair compromise. You lose a little and you gain a little, but overall I think both changes make her more reliable on both attack and defense, and that's ultimately a very good thing. I'm still happy that I have her ranked up.
The way I read it is that you can buy EMs with energy rather than units. If it works the way I think it does, that would mean that you could trade in your energy whenever you're not using it for EMs. Before you go to bed, for example. Let's say you've got 15 energy left after doing a quest or something, you can just trade that in for some EMs. You don't have to spend that excess energy actually doing Battlegrounds there and then, but can instead cash it in so that you have more EMs to use whenever you actually want to use them.
If that's how it works, it sounds as if it gives us as players a lot more freedom with how we spend our time in BGs.
Re: I appreciate the Dev Diary, I do, but please for the community can you let us know a bit early.
Same old song and dance. No thank you. No more spending. You don't deserve our money. You are under staffed and make millions on this game. Can't fix simple bugs in time because you don't have enough coders. I'm tired of this same old bs response to our outrage. You reap what you sow. You've taken advantage of us spenders for too long. We don't want your empty promises. $1200 for a 7*. Yeah that's worth it more than paying rent. You want to get back in our good graces. Lower prices, reduce the amount of sales, give more free stuff, focus on quality of life improvements and fix the damn bugs. Until then no one believes you and your tired lies that you care about anything but your profits.
Re: Kudos
to @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex very solid post, respectable and respectful. Well done on the comms.
For the community, I think we can all pick at the details (what was addressed, what wasn’t, the proposed solutions). What I find encouraging is that they’re talking about process, policy, structure and how they better align those things with their strategy. That indicates — to me, anyway — a more comprehensive perspective rather than a focus on just putting out whatever fires broke out in the last 24 hours…
Re: They partially went back on Spider Woman Nerf, not completly
Do you happen to run the pacify mastery by chance?
I get no matter what happens everyone's going to disagree. But let's not pretend that SW is the only character that reduces less than 100% ability accuracy and there's more champs to compare her to than just domino. Meta and non meta champs have this AAR sprinkled in EVERY class, multiple times in a lot. But, again, this isn't about whether she loses ensare or regains an evade counter somewhere else without AAR, it's about how the entire situation was handled.
This doesn't even touch on the rest of the potentially concerning things in the original post.
Re: Was he taken out back?
Personally, I'm really glad to see him draw a definitive line in the sand and truly stand with the community. 🍻
