Re: Rebirth champs - you guys have to do them justice
Forgot Voodoo exists sometimes. That guy had one of the best utilities in the game and carried Act 5. I remember using my first 5 star generic on him and then became my first R3.
Re: Asking for 7* Kamala Khan
Day 5065? 5200? since Kamala Khan was added as a 7 star. I can't keep track of the days anymore. No one can. Ever since the game was changed to add her, well, the game has changed. In just one "Kabam," the world was lost forever. Some of of us predicted the decision would have fallout, but I don't think any of us truly knew just how quick the world would descend into madness.Part 2:
It's been far too long to say the exact amount of time it came to happen, but it was in less than a year. Seven star Kamala Khan's arrival in the contest was followed by almost all of the world's cash flowing to Netmarble through Kabam's webstore. A brand new seven star for only $11.99 USD was just too good of a deal.
With almost all of the world's wealth in the hands of Netmarble, they formed a monopoly on almost all industries, becoming true "Shop Titans." They used their wealth, far greater than any country's wealth (of course excluding their country of origin, South Korea), to form a real-life Contest of Champions. World leaders were pitted together to determine who would receive the necessary funds to stop the relentless famine in their countries. I hardly remember the outcome (though I remember Zelenskyy did well), but that wasn't what mattered. North Korea decided that the perfect opportunity to strike was during the Contest. With all world leaders in one place, within their missile range.
Destruction, however, was mutually assured. Practically all countries were wiped out from nuclear war, save those in the depths of the African continent and the South Pacific. Now there's under a million of us left. We've had to form Alliances regardless of country to stay alive, with deaths still piling up due to Alliance Wars. The continents are now just Battlegrounds.
And all of it is because MCOC added 7 Star Kamala Khan.
The choice Netmarble made to "give everyone doom" through their nuclear attacks was devastating. Possibly the worst thing to ever happen. Even afterwards, their chosen warriors still hunt us Alliances down in Alliance Quests. Even as a small group of players, they use their weapons VERY effectively. There is not much time left in these Arenas that are the islands of the Pacific.
Despite all of this, hope remains. There is a way to stop this Apocalypse. We can prove that this Apocalypse Is A Dud. When modern society turned to rubble, we had to rebuild. And through rebuilding, society became more efficient than ever before. Admittedly we are only at an early stage of physical defense, however. We have stronger Bases Coming Soon. Yet with energy and time diverted away from defense and inefficient food sources, we have gained a much more powerful tool. Our scientists have allowed control of time.
Yes, in an instant you could travel to any time before this nuclear Winter of Woe. To do so of course takes tremendous amounts of energy, but we have methods to get that energy using the laws of Edison. With pooled energy we can send a person to exist in a past or future time for about a minute per year of energy storage. Could this be the solution to stopping the Onslaught of Netmarble troops?
Some scientists suggested Pausing time instead would be much less energy costly, and a better solution than travel to the past. But associates in South America vetoed the Pausing idea. Rather than this, I was chosen to exit the wartorn present and go back in time for only a few minutes, in order to send these messages.
The only thing you can do is not add 7* Kamala Khan. The world will be a better place.
Re: Post your GOOD Titan pulls! Somebody please give me hope.....
I just completed the last Wheel of Fate quest last night and picked a Titan Nexus. A painful choice. While I'm obviously super happy with Spider-Woman, having to leave the other two behind (especially since I'm low on Tech champs) was hard.

Re: How much monetization is too much?
Gonna be real, this is the comment that makes me finally agree with everyone that you’re loony. You can call it what you want. I don't agree. No one is being tricked into anything.I don’t have a particular opinion on the sales, hence my lack of comment, but this is just blatantly wrong. “Predatory” has been standard language used to describe all sort of gacha mobile game tactics designed to trick people into spending money, we’ve had literal legislation written because of it. We have drop rates on crystals because of this. Again, I make no comment on whether such language deserves to be applied here to MCOC but this feels like a ridiculous claim to make given the very real specter that hangs around similar games.Predatory is a ridiculous word for a mobile game that offers optional sales. When even the mega whales who buy everything says its becoming too aggressive and predatory, then something is obviously wrong. Just cause you either refuse or fail to see that doesn't make it any less true.Too much for who?More to the point, it's a business. There's no such thing as too much. We can still play for free if we choose. There absolutely is such thing as too much. The aggressive push for 600 dollars every 2-3 months is too much when you compare it to doing that only 2 times a year.
For people who think they must buy everything, perhaps.
For a company who is trying to keep the lights on, not at all.
No one is forcing anyone to buy these. If it's too much for us personally, we're free to pass. The fact that people are still offended with EVERY Offer this game releases almost 11 years later is crazy to me. They're a business. They're going to try and make money.
Predatory has never been a term that requires force or even strict coercion in anything but the literal predator/prey sense. Predatory lenders don’t force anyone to accept their loans. Predatory behavior doesn’t need to involve literal coercion, many victims engage willingly. It just means you’re preying on people in some way, often in a deceitful manner. Literally every industry engages in this sort of thing, intensive research into human psychology to figure out how to make people do what you want without them realizing there’s anything suspicious going on. The video game industry is no different, microtransactions and lootboxes especially. The idea that either these sort of things don’t exist or that it’s just a skill issue on consumer’s part is so offensive and divorced from reality that it’s kinda staggering.
And because you seem to really want to defend MCOC, I will restate from my original comment that I’m speaking generally and make no claims as to whether MCOC is predatory. I just find your apparent take that predatory tactics don’t exist or don’t matter to be fundamentally appalling. The human brain is a weird thing, and expecting that people just know how to avoid any and all ways that it can be taken advantage of is just myopic. People don’t work like that.

Re: How much monetization is too much?
.yes man! this kind of excitement used to be a thing a looong time ago. talking like 2020 with openings on discord or youtube. openings were a big back then and i haven't noticed it yet with 7*s. the hype hasn't been the same, even for the stuff like omega days or WOF. people just open their champs get happy if they get them but that's about it, the value champions add to our rosters aren't the same anymore and it's partly because they're so much more accessible and their role in content has been lowered. generalists don't exist and even B/C level champs work.I know the feeling, I am in a discord server with some old old time ingame and personal friends I made due to the game. Days like J4 and CM we used to share screen and show the results on a group call, make fun of each other for pulling duds and so on. Last years Banquet and this years J4 we didn't even do it.Well I am officially done spending a single cent, call me crazy but I like to spend on things that I enjoy.I know I responded to part of what you said early but… I wanted to highlight this part of what you said man… in my circles very very few people are enjoying this current direction. So many people that used to career get excited for these things feeling cynical, burnt out, and considering retirement.
even though champion designs are more complex than ever, everything fits together more with a purpose. the game feels much more linear for some reason, like the map on the right.

Re: How much monetization is too much?
What a brain dead reply lol what's better 10 whales dropping 1k in an event or 10 whales + 100 low to mid end spenders also spending on said event because spending, even if just half of what whales spend, gets you good stuff too?which do you think would keep the game running for longer too? You're so dense you're not getting the point, this isn't even about f2p players mainly it's about the fact that even p2w players are getting sick of tKabam's greediness. That's entirely up to you, and I'm sure other people feel that way as well. That doesn't mean they're going to stop marketing. Others will spend, and more power to them. It keeps the game going.More to the point, it's a business. There's no such thing as too much. We can still play for free if we choose.from a customer POV, the oversaturation of offers literally waters down the product and also makes us less excited for big deals since they're happening like every other month now. they're good and exciting in a sense and fund the game, but still.
end gamers might be paying $5000 a year for the same experience they had for $800 8 years ago. it's just not worth spending anymore since ranks reset every year anyway. why feel FOMO when you can just wait it out.
Re: How much monetization is too much?
Please don’t forget one thing. It’s just pixels. When they shut down the servers, there is nothing left.
