Greetings Summoners,

Let us make this crystal clear, any players caught modding in Marvel Contest of Champions, particularly in our competitive modes, will be subject to a permanent ban.

It’s no secret that cheating in our Competitive game modes has seen a recent uptick in activity, particularly since the addition of Radiance in Battlegrounds.

There is no place for this behavior in Marvel Contest of Champions, and if you are caught engaging in this behavior, your account will be subject to penalty.

Our cheat detection system has caught hundreds of players modding through Battlegrounds this Season, and our team has been working tirelessly, manually reviewing hundreds more cases that are too close for a machine to call. Accounts caught modding in our competitive game modes are subject to an immediate permanent ban, and their ELO will be set to zero and removed from the leaderboard.

While modding is the most egregious anti-competitive behaviour, it is not the only manipulative behavior that we’ll be taking seriously. Bad actors engaging in win trading or excessive match declining will also be subject to action on their accounts.

Additionally, let it be known that any player caught playing on an account that doesn’t belong to them will have that account’s, and their own, ELO ratings set to zero upon detection - and will be subject to a ban. If you think we won’t be able to tell, you are incorrect.

I hope we’ve made our stance on this issue clear. We will not allow the actions of others to negatively impact our loyal Summoners committed to playing fairly. Play by the rules, or play somewhere else.

We had a lot of new things to share last season, including the addition of the Radiance store/rewards and a significant update to the Gladiator Circuit tier structure. We hope you're enjoying it.

To see how Summoners engage with it and how our data shakes out, we've decided to keep Season 29 light and simple.

We're entering the Fantastic Force Saga, and with it, a new set of buffs for the Victory Track and Gladiator Circuit will be swapped.
A new emote will enter the contest… It will be a toss-up whether you can catch or toss it! 😉

As a reminder from our last Battlegrounds Season 29 post, we're removing the Battlegrounds Solo Event moving forward due to the new reward structure.
