How many 7 star rank 4 do you have?
I have 6 atm, Purgatory (sig180), SpiderWoman (sig100), Kushala, Jean Grey, Karolina Dean, Bastion (sig60). Something I never thought I would in relatively short period of a time as an ftp.
Omw to decide the 7th, I got the cats ready. I wanna pick between Frankencastle or ShangChi for skill class.
I try to balance every class. I want at least one each, except for Mystic, I got 2 already, Purgatory was an exception. She's my first r4, I viewed her as an out of class character, because she can act like the counter of particular class thanks to those benefits of the class soul.

Star-Lord (Stellar Forged) doesn't feel like a 5/5 damage champion
I was really looking forward to its release, especially since Starlord has been one of my favorite characters for a long time.
Due to its lack of utility, I already knew and expected that it wouldn't be a meta champion in competitive modes.
However, several videos of Starlord came out today, and I have to say that the damage seems extremely lower than it should be:
Of course, I'm not saying that his damage is terrible or extremely low. But his performance, even against large health pools, is not good at all:
I checked his page and came across this:
This doesn't look like the design of a champion with 5/5 damage.
It's worth remembering that we're talking about a 7-star rank 4 champion, who doesn't have immunities, not even the little utility that OG Starlord had with heal block or power drain. He's a champion specifically focused on damage. And that's fine, that's explicit on the champion's page and in the deep dive.
Just as Deathless Thanos was the champion promised as meta in the end, with Stellar Forged it was Doom. So it was never promised that Starlord would be a god-tier champion. But man, at this rate, even using him in the Coliseum is going to be very difficult.

Serpent being so comparatively slow surprised me - I know he's predominantly a defensive champion but he does have great offensive capability. So I gave it a go and did Winter Soldier in 1:29 as an R4!

I've been using my 6* r4a FANTman and still every time I go in I'm only getting a single point per run.
At this rate, it would cost me 2000 energy just to reach the 80 points lol

Bcos it's never meant as a practice mode for GC, it's more like a substitute for VT but without the rewards
The meta is victory track meta
Even GC week 1 and 2 meta is slightly different from VT meta
You can test GC meta using friendly match as you can choose which meta you want to fight
Results of Testing all of my Rank 3 and Rank 4 Champs
I have timed all of the Rank 3 and Rank 4 champs that I have in ROL. No synergies, no class advantage or disadvantage, and no ouchies. Just vanilla fights, to see how they did.
This started out as "I wonder what underrated champs can do against the 'top meta' champs", which then spiraled into me just testing every single champ. Most champs went against Winter Soldier or Captain Marvel, a hand full went against Juggs if their abilities had a work around his unstoppable. Only one did I test twice, Apoc. Once against Rhino (no ramp) and once against storm since his abilities grant him a lot going against another mutant and that's not class advantage or disadvantage.
I only took each champ through one fight, I didn't do fights over and over trying to get the lowest time unless just everything went wrong and I thought their time really misrepresented them. A few champs really surprised me. I tried to play each champ with their best playstyle and equipped with their best relic. Take this list for what it is, a vanilla fight in ROL from some bored guy. This is just for fun!
If you see a champ that just did not perform any where near what you expected, let me know who and what playstyle you have seen them perform better in, I'll give it a second try.
