BigBlue Signing Off

Like many of you… these posts never made sense to me when I saw them. But now that I hit that point in my MCOC tenure there’s a bit of clarity to it… you invest time, effort, money, and a sense of community into a thing… you feel the need to give it closure, and that’s where I’m at.

At the end of the day… this really is a good game. So much strategy and interesting interaction out of swipe swipe tap. It’s one of my favorite marvel gameplay experiences… beating the GM in act 6 pre-nerfs is a favorite gamer moment… but sadly it’s run by a toxic girlfriend of a company and I’m no longer having fun and I don’t seeing it ever getting better… I’d love to say, it’s not you it’s me… but that’d be a lie, it’s totally you Kabam.

Never play testing things, never quality checking your work, never using money your players invest in fixing the AI, the lag, the frame rate skipping, never taking the fighting bugs seriously…. All many of the reasons I’m walking away.

I hope you do better for my friends that keep playing because it’s more for them that I post this. I want them to enjoy the hobby I used to enjoy, but I fear it’s too late for me.

To my fellow players If I was lucky enough to play with you, I really did have a great fun doing it, and I wish you the best.

To the other forum fiends and white knights, all the best going forward. I’ll miss trading jokes, barbs and debates with you all.

And here’s me signing off, thanks for the memories some I know the pixels won’t last.

And like any post I made I’m sure I’ve missed more than a few typos, but what evs. All the best 🫡

I agreed with original poster-pausing is considered cheating.

I am absolutely shocked that Kabam and many other players had lacked common sense in global mobile game industry.

Many mobile game PvP modes don't allow pausing because they are real-time, online experiences shared with other players

Pausing is impractical and unfair in a competitive environment. To handle real-life interruptions, players must find safe spots in the game to go "afk" or accept that they may have to quit and potentially rejoin later

Competitive integrity: Allowing a pause would give an unfair advantage to the player who pauses, as they could use the time to strategize or wait for a real-life situation to resolve while their opponent is frozen.

You guys should know Dragon Ball Z right? This is well known global anime. They also got a pretty good mobile game (Note: I am NOT the PR for that game, but I had played it before long time ago).

Dragon Ball Legends is a mobile fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, first released in 2018. It features a unique, card-based fighting system and an original storyline that involves characters from across the Dragon Ball timeline, including a mysterious Saiyan boy named Shallot, who is central to the game's narrative. The game has been a significant commercial success, surpassing 100 million registered users by April 2024, and it has received awards such as the Google Play "Best of 2018" award

In short, their PVP mode had restricted any PAUSING:

Players cannot pause during PvP matches in Dragon Ball Legends to prevent cheating, as the inability to pause is a core design choice for competitive, real-time gameplay. Pausing would allow opponents to exploit the pause to gain an unfair advantage, such as to analyze the opponent's moves or take a break while the opponent is forced to wait

That's why I want to provide the correct methodology here-pausing should be consideredd as cheating inside any mobile game PVP mode (such as battleground). This is common sense in mobile game industry.

Note: I love MCOC since I had played it for 10 years already. I had also tried various mobile game PVP mode before.

We just sent this title directly to Brian. As @Average_Desi says, if we put this in game as a challenge, even if it was just the title, completionists would feel compelled to do it and we don't want that. Nobody should have to do this.

I will take your word and along with Beroman’s on it. It does look like zero fun, but I was planning on being a bottom feeder Uru one and done summoner anyway.

cheating in BG

This happen to me Again today but i won this Match he did Pause the game. i did report it. i do not understand how a 7 star vs 5 star is impossible to beat.

I really don't get where these "they ruined monthly quests" comments came from lol old EQ was ass and so were the rewards. The fact that people still cry about this is still surprising to me
